4 Self Assessment In this section I provide you with a self- assessment tool for your own website. You do not need to share this with anybody so no reason not to be super honest! For each of the 10 questions rate your online efforts from 1 (really low performance) to 5 (you are the online superstar!) 1. You have a website I suggest that you differentiate by the professionalism of your website on the scale from 1 (no website at all) to 5 (highly professional and converting website) 2. Your website is Search Engine optimized This means that you have defined your keywords and implemented them on your titles, meta tags and in your copy and links, ideally working with an SEO specialist. 3. Your website works well on a mobile device Go ahead, before you answer this question check it out. Will your thumbs be able to navigate on your small screen device? 4. 5 5. Your target audience gets you Check your website from the perspective of your ideal client. Will the copy resonate with them? Will the design be attractive for them? Will they know what to do? 6. A new client will immediately trust your authority Check your website again from the view of your ideal client and ask yourself will they trust you upon their first visit? What do you do to create that trust? 7. You collect addresses by providing something of value Are you offering an attractive freebie that your visitor needs to sign up for? Is it positioned well on your website? 8. You are making it easy to book an appointment on your website Do you have a calendar booking tool integrated with your website? Do you have easy contact forms and/or your phone number readily available for your visitor? 9. You provide a simple purchasing experience Your clients can purchase right there on your website. 10. 7 Quick Action Tips 1. Make sure you have a website get it done, even if it is only a basic one that you expand over time. 2. If you have a website, consider hiring a Search Engine Specialist. I am happy to refer you! 3. If your website does not work on a mobile device add to your plan for the next 6-12 months to upgrade your website to be mobile friendly. 4. Schedule some time next week to go through your website and note all errors and irritating behaviors. Check with your web developer on creating an update plan (or consider a new website instead it might be cheaper!) 5. Interview your clients get their perspective and then update your website so it resonates with them. 6. Add testimonials; consider video testimonials. 8 7. Add a free report, blueprint of video series your provide for opt- in. 8. Provide a calendar tool such as TimeTrade directly on your website and offer free strategy sessions or consultations. 9.
