2 Keys to Your Rebel Success- Freshman Year The following questions will be asked to freshman students MODULE 1: First Year Seminar Course Question 1: What First Year Seminar Course did you take? Please input the Course Subject and Number (ex. COLA 100E): Question 2: Who was your First Year Seminar Course Instructor? Question 3: What semester did you complete your First Year Seminar Course? (ex. Spring 2014). Question 4: During your First Year Seminar course you were visited by (or went to visit) the UNLV Career Services Department. In words briefly describe how you can utilize the Career Services department. Question 5: In the space below please tell us how your First Year Seminar Course helped you understand your major and/or department. Question 6: In the space below please tell us what was helpful (or not) from your First Year Seminar Course. MODULE 2: Academic Advising Question 1: I have met with my Academic Advisor: If you have not met with your academic advisor please do so and then return to this module & question. Question 4: Have you reviewed the Career Services Handbook Backpacks to Briefcases? MODULE 3: Hire a Rebel Question 1: Have you updated your resume? Question 2: Have you updated your Hire a Rebel Account? MODULE 4: Resources for Reflection Question 1: See following resources: Are you interested in an Internship? If so, complete the Are you ready for an internship quiz. To start your job search, review the attached Job Search Success Checklist. The interview checklist can assist you in preparing to answer and ask interview questions and provides advice on what to expect at the interview. If you currently have or plan to have social media accounts please review the following information to help you prepare for life after college: Social Media- the Do s and Don ts of Students. Schedule an appointment with a Career Services Counselor to participate in a mock interview, review your cover letter and resume, and prepare for an internship or job.
