FRIDAY, JUNE 26, :00 A.M. CDT BENDER VIRTUAL CAREER FAIR *** This is being provided in a rough draft format. Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) or captioning are provided in order to facilitate communication accessibility and may not be a totally verbatim record of the proceedings. *** Slide 1 >> GAYLE OLIVER-PLATH: Hello. My name is Gayle Oliver-Plath. I want to thank you for joining us today to learn more about this exciting virtual event coming up being sponsored by Bender. I'm pleased to say that more and more employers are leveraging these tools. There are several key drivers for that. One of them is time. Most of us just don't have enough time to get to all the campuses that we want to go to to recruit graduate or recent graduate talent. When you combine that with the cost of getting to a physical location and everything that goes into that cost stream from shipping your booth to overnight stays to hotels and airfare and so forth, it just in many cases becomes cost prohibitive to try to reach the locations you want to get to. When you think of virtual as being able to broaden your reach, for all these reasons we are finding that more and more employers are using virtual events as a way to reach out to a new group of candidates that they might not otherwise be able to connect with. Slide 2 With with that said, Bender consulting services is a wonderful organization. Joyce Bender started this 20 plus years ago. Their specialty is around making sure that people living with disabilities have the opportunity to become employed. So you can learn a lot more about Bender throughout the course of this connection with working on the virtual fair. We would like to introduce you to more of their offerings. Their passion is that they want to help people living with disabilities in the employment arena. They decided they wanted to be part of these virtual events and created this concept with CareerEco and we've done a number of these events. The employers have found this to be a fantastic way for them to reach this particular target candidate group. When you bear in mind that many of you are looking at your diversity strategies, certainly Section 503 compliance, this is a wonderful way to really help facilitate compliance issues around outreach to target this untapped pool of talent. These candidates have great skills and they are so excited about the opportunity to connect with you in a virtual way. Of course, this is also going to give you access to the veteran community as well, who might be living with disabilities. You can look at this event as a great way to reach graduate and undergraduate talent. We work with

schools across the countries that promote this. All majors are invited. It might help you reach candidates that you wouldn't otherwise have a way to connect with and do it in a time efficient, resource efficient way. You'll notice here by the stat that we actually have had a thousand-plus candidates in our prior events. We feel certain you'll have great access to all kinds of talent within the community of people living with disabilities as a result of participating. Slide 3 So with that said, you can go to the website. On the website you'll see there's a registration link that will help get you started. You'll also notice there's an organization more and more link. This will have the details, pricing, I'll go over that shortly. I'm recording this. I will also have a recording link -- link to the recording on that page if you want to share this with other colleagues of yours. You'll notice that it's the 10th. It is a one day event, all happens online. You are able to reach out with the candidate pool being across two-year and four-year institutions across the country. Great reach, great access. If you want to listen to Joyce Bender talk a bit more about why she decided to start this initiative, you can click here and listen to the radio show that she hosts where she discusses this. Note if you want to be a sponsor, if you want to either be a website sponsor or an event sponsor, you would have additional branding right here on the event page rather than being listed with all the other employers that are participating in the event. That might be an option if this is an important community for you to connect with and show your support of the community for people living with disabilities. This is a great branding tuntd for you here as well. Again I'll share more details about that. Slide 4 With that said, just in general ferms what we are finding is all different kinds of organizations are leveraging the virtual event tool. And so you can just see by some examples here of some companies you certainly would recognize. It represents a whole myriad of different industries. That's something to bear in mind, too. It doesn't matter what industry you're in. The virtual tools can become a recruiting strategy for you. When you look at examples here, there are all different type companies, size companies. Certainly we have many more. Hundreds and hundreds of companies that use the tool on a very ongoing basis. Slide 5 Just know that if you want to participate in our events, you are going to find this to be a very, very efficient way for your team to connect with the future candidate pool. As you get registered, you'll each one have your own profile page. You'll have a chance to show case a lot more about your company and your organization, what you do. This is an example of a profile page that will be on the event site. You'll notice here that there's going to be opportunity for your logo to be here in the top left. You'll notice there's a place for you to have your links to your website, your career page,

your social media channels, if you like. You can customize this section with an image or series of images. You can share a lot more detail about what your company does or what your organization does. You'll also be able to share multimedia type content in this panel here. You'll see there's an example of a video here. Know that you can personalize this and really make it as robust as you would like in terms of the content that you share. This is a great opportunity to distal down some information. Often the employment websites are very, very broad and they have lots of great information. But this can really help you narrow down the messaging that you want to share, particularly with a target group of candidates that are living with disabilities. You might want to share more about your initiatives that you have around the topic. Bear in mind this is something for you to customize. It's easy to do but CareerEco is here to assist you with that to make sure that it reflects what you would like it to. You have the opportunity to post jobs. There's a job posting feature if you want to include those. You'll see there is a place for you to post positions and they will be linked to your profile page, so it's easy for people to see the kinds of positions you need to fill. You can fill out your chat hours, which we'll talk about. The chat times, the major you're recruiting for and contact information if you want to share all of that here on your profile page. Slide 6 You won't be listed with all the employers. So as I mentioned, if you want to be a website or an event sponsor, you would have additional presence on the home page. All of you aspirating employers will be listed here. So that candidates can quickly and easily see at a high level the kinds of organizations that are participating, the types of positions. Just high level full-time intern, Co-Op, what kinds of positions are you trying to fill. Certainly the degree requirements that you have and the majors you're particularly interested in. All of that information is show cased here and there's a link back to the profile page that you created. They can get a lot of information leading up to the fair about your organization. So when they come to the live interactive component of the event they can ask you great questions based on what you already shared with them. You'll also notice there's a checkmark here. They as candidates can particularly express interest in your organization. So as a list of companies that are all participating, you're going to have access to all the candidates that are in that particular event, but they can also let you know that they are especially interested in your organization. That's just something to bear in mind. I'll show you more about what the candidate pool looks like and then you can better understand how that will fit in. Slide 7 With that said it's important to note that you get to choose the chat hours that you are going to be available during the event. Bear in mind even though it's a one-day event you can decide exactly what time blocks you want to be available. You'll see by a prior eefnltd example, there's the listing of the participating organizations and the times that they've made themselves available during that particular event. It could be

that you have maybe a midday session that you want to share information about your company. It could be you have morning and afternoon. Or it could be from early morning until even into the evening. It is absolutely up to you as a participating employer to determine what time segments you want to have. That's very easy for you to do. You create the chat room with the particular topic, so you can see you can call out the topic. If you want to give more detail about the kind of positions you're filling there, you can do that. Also you can have as many people as you would like from your particular organization be in the chat session during the course of that day, which hopefully will encourage you to have as many hours as possible. Obviously, that's part of the value of the whole virtual event is having the opportunity to interact. We encourage you to be there as much as you can, but he with also understand that you have your own time constraints. Just know that you can have as many people as you want sharing responsibility for the event or even in the chat room during the, at the same time during the event. And you can have the hours that suit you and your team best. You can have people from wherever they may be log in and assist with this. Know that as long as they have an Internet connection and a device, they can participate in the fair and help with your recruiting, which can be really helpful if you have subject matter experts or maybe people that there are other candidates living, or I should say employees living with disabilities that you might want to actually have in the chat room talking about why they think this is such a great organization. And you know, what it's like for them and their experience as an employee. So lots of different ways you can really leverage the tool. Slide 8 Now, I mentioned that you'll have the opportunity to have access to and view all these preregistered candidates. They will continue to register up to the end of the event. As they register, all those candidates accumulate here in your dashboard. You can look at the candidates before hand. It gives you a great way for you to go and do preselecting if you like and make sure, if you see candidates of interest you might want to reach out to them before the event and communicate with them, leading up to and after the event as well. What you are looking at here is the candidate dashboard. At a high level you can see the details of their educational background. You can click on the CV. That will give you access to their particular document they uploaded. Resume, cover letter, so forth. You also will be able to click on the icon here that will give you more detail about their contact information and some other profile information they might have chosen to share with you. You'll notice there's other icons here. Those are reflective of you being able to make notes on the candidate record. So you might want to remind yourself something about that candidate so that when you're interacting with them you can actually interact in a way that gives some hints to yourself. It could be that you want to do some sort of selecting around key criteria. You can use the filters and click on that particular filter. If you want to favor or like

candidates, you can do that from here. You can click on a star and they go into your like category. When you are busy in the chat room and you want to remind yourself to follow up with a candidate, you can click on a button that puts them into the chat favorites category. There are lots of ways to use the tool here. At the same time, I pensioned there's this expressed interest idea. The candidates have expressed interested in you, you'll see that with a notation next to their name here and the overall user list. You'll have the ability to look at that information before hand, but then also take it out of the system. That's important to know that you can pull this and you can sort it again by any criteria you want, and then you can export that in an Excel spreadsheet to put in your own tracking system as well as combining resumes into a compiled resume book if you would like to do that. You will have the ability to recruit these events well beyond the event. We'll happy that you'll have the opportunity to do that, of course. Slide 9 Like I said, you might want to interact with them before hand and encourage them to come by and visit your particular chat session. We encourage you to be interactive and proactive. If you want to from within the system, of course you can export that candidate list and send it from your own . Sometimes recruiters would rather keep their address anonymous but still want to communicate. We now have an event messaging center that allows you to create a message and pick the candidates you want to send it to. You can forward that message from this system and allow them to reply back to you. If they do, you'll see under the messages tab you'll have a number that calls out that you have messages to read and you can communicate with them back and forth in that fashion. Slide 10 I want to show you screen shots of what the chat feature is like, so you'll have an idea how easy it is to use. First and for most when you come into the chat room, each of you have your own chat room. You have the social media links and the profile links and the file folder. That's helpful if you want to upload documents that you want to be handy for them to easily and quickly download. Think about things you would typically give out on an on-campus recruiting event, brochures, whatever it might be. You can include those documents in your file folder that makes them easy for them. You can see here that each one of you as organization reps will be listed here, if you want to include an avatar or image, you can do that. You can have more than one person in the room to personalize your -- rather than using your own name, use something that is more. (Bad static.) Something that really helps function and better clarify what kind of position you are recruiting for. You can do that -- (Bad audio.) >> GAYLE OLIVER-PLATH: You can automatically just welcome them to your room and keep it very sort of generic in terms of you're excited about chatting with

them today but make it much more specific. Sometimes people include real helpful information about reminding them about the kind of positions maybe that they are trying to fill or some other details that you feel might be important. Maybe a link to a particular place in your website, maybe to a point of application or even you want to share some of your contact information, address and that sort of thing. That information can go in the room greeting so when they join your room they will be able to see what you want to share right off the bat. At the same time you have the ability to store messages. Say you will get questions throughout the course of the event, either you are -- your very common questions that you're expecting and there's something that you absolutely know you are going to be answering while you're in the interaction component of the event. You can sphor those messages right into -- store those messages into the system that are easy to use. You can click on the down arrow and populate the content of the chatting with messages that you've already thought through some of the answers to. Bear in mind that's another easy to use feature that you can use and store those for not only yourself but also for your colleagues so you can share back and forth those answers as commonly asked questions. You'll also see as a candidate comes into the room you can click on the down arrow and you can view their profile, hover over the icon here that will allow you to see the degree they are completing, or are pursuing and their graduation date. You can get more information about each candidate that comes in the room. Slide 11 When they do that, you can interact with them privately or in a group format. When you type into this section of the screen, what you say goes into the group chat and everyone in the room has access to that, including people who can look back at the history of the chat room and see what was said before they arrived. So there's an ease of use of you sharing information that benefits all the different people in the room. We see lots of great group chats that have a lot of fantastic information that benefits everybody who comes into your particular chat session. So that's very helpful that they can all share and learn from the questions that one another asked. But at the same time you can personalize it by having that one to one individualized chat. And you can see here by this example there's a couple of candidates in the room and just by me toggling back and forth, whichever candidate I highlight, I can have that particular interaction with them and then turn around over here and then have another interaction with them. If I missed a message, you'll see I'm getting an alert that lets me know there's a message waiting for me. I can go back and forth easily and engage with multiple individuals and not lose the dynamic, that keeps people engaged in the process and excited about what is going on in the event. Slide 12 I can take it a step further if I want and use the multimedia tool. You can see here I can do a one to one video chat. Say I'm having a wonderful conversation chatting with a candidate, but I know I want to take it a step further. I can go ahead

and have this one to one video chat and just need to ask their permission, that they're willing to do that. Click the start video. As long as they allow for it, we can have this person to person interactive session that is much more typical of an interview or something that might take place when you're on campus. You can use that tool really based on whether or not you think that candidate is the right fit that you want to take another step with. That really helps you to save time in having these kinds of interactions with candidates you prequalified a bit more. At the same time, you might want to just do a video broadcast to the room. Say you have multiple people in the room. You have maybe, there's two recruiters in there. One of the recruiters will continue to type in the chat room. Now you have a recruiter who wants to video broadcast so they can be seen and heard as they are answering questions. That is another aspect if you want to take it to another level of getting people excited and enthusiastic about what you're sharing in the chat. Lastly you can share your screen. Very much like I'm doing today, you can talk through, point things out on your website or talk through a Power Point, but meanwhile people can see your screen and hear you talking about whatever it is you are trying to share more. With that said, you can use the tools. They are built into the system. You don't have to make a decision now about it or feel appreciate to use them all. They are all there, available and incorporated into the price. Slide 13 As I mentioned this is an example of if you wanted to do a presentation, you can do that with the audio and literally have people view your screen and see your Power Point and hear what you had to say. Slide 14 Now you can extract. I mentioned the candidate spreadsheet. So obviously all those candidates, either the entire group of candidates or the ones that specifically meet your criteria or high level criteria, and then you'll see that there's the ability for you to get the resume, the individual resumes or a combined group of resumes. Also the chat transcript. One of the things that is so nice about virtual is, you don't have the feel that you're going to forget everything that you've learned in talking to these different candidates. When you are clearly one to one and a busy on campus experience it will be very hard to recall and digest everything that you shared in that particular session, but the great thing about the virtual is that it all is being captured for you. All the typing back and forth is being captured and you can go back and reference the transcripts at any time and pull those out of the system as well and also have an attendee report. So I can know exactly which candidates came into the room and how to get in contact with them as well. Lots of good data that you'll get that will help you go back and evaluate the effectiveness of the tool. Slide 15

I would like to share some of the feedback we get. If you haven't been to virtual events before, in particular this one, where you are able to reach candidates living with daibts, it is important to know from the candidate's point of view and the employer's perspective why it's a great event. You can see an excerpt from one of our chats that we had during a fair with the candidate: I want to say that this career fair was awesome. I loved it. I was able to get valuable information, a scheduled telephone interview and was also able to apply for jobs I would never have had access to before. I was able to make multiple connections with employers and that is an example of how effective this can be from the standpoint of the students. (Voice garbled.) Slide 16 >> GAYLE OLIVER-PLATH: I am unable to drive. The virtual fair allowed me to be able to meet with a good number of employers with much greater ease and the ability to access links they send allows for almost immediate action rather than waiting to get home and try to remember it. That's a good point. Often you get people enthusiastic about your company and why it might be a great fit but you often need to ask them to a a step. That step is usually go back to the website and take some sort of action of applying online. When you do that, then the possibility of you losing them as a candidate is pretty high. So in this configuration, they are literally right there online. They can click on a tab and open up the new browser and get going on that application. They can even stay in your chat room and ask questions. If they have questions as they are filling out the application. It's really, really convenient for them as well. Slide 17 Here is another example. My disability makes in person interviews very difficult for necessity. This format allows me to focus on the content of the discussions rather than having to manage the disability while interviewing. I feel it allows me to put a more representative profile, a more representative profile forward. With that said, I think it's also important to recognize with this particular group of candidates you are trying to reach, many times whatever they might be dealing with as a disability is something that may make it more difficult for them to feel like an equal candidate even though from a skills point of view they have the ability to do a fantastic job. And we find too as well that these candidates are living with disabilities are in many cases more eager to do a fantastic job. So you'll find that this is a great way for you to reach these candidates and put them at ease in doing this initial point of contact. Likely you will have more interviewing that takes place beyond the fair, but this is a way to really put them at ease in the process of getting started with learning more about your company and you learning more about them. Slide 18 Here is another example. I absolutely loved it. I got the opportunity to freely

state what I want and what I'm looking for without the pressure at all. Again, very important, I think, for this particular group. Obviously all interviewing candidates can feel the pressure of interviewing. But I think particularly in this group it becomes something of great value to them beyond even maybe a traditional candidate where they are finding this to be a very comfortable format for them. So you're making yourself available to them in an on demand format that suits the challenges they may have. Bear in mind they are going to love the fact that you are participating in this event. Slide 19 That said, the employers are also finding this to be of equal values. We are always looking for ways to reach out to a more divorce group of applicants. This allowed us to do this the last two years. We love it. We find that this fair has allowed us to get in front of groups we typically would not be able to connect with. When you look at the target groups of candidates of people living with disabilities, wherever they might be, being able to do that in a virtual format. Slide 20 I had the opportunity to chat with a lot of great candidates. We are focused on creating a diverse workplace for all our employees to feel included. Wonderful outreach from a employer's standpoint. Slide 21 Here is a practical m aspect. I can talk to multiple people at once and see resumes instead of remembering to ask for them and take time to think about my answers in a private chat. That is another point. It gives you the ability to do thought full responses instead of the pressure that the candidates feel in these interviews. You want to have the answers that will help clarify what they want to know. If you are not able to answer, you are online and you might be able to look it up or shoot a question to a colleague and by the time you need to respond back, you will have the answer to share. The idea of storing responses, very, very helpful. All this information is right there, veil and online. It gives access to everybody in terms of information and getting more helpful information to both parties on whether or not it makes sense to continue the conversation. Slide 22 And of course, as most employers are now, they really do understand the value of a diverse workforce and that you can see by the comment that this is the best way to create and build a successful company. They like the platform and it allows people from all over to have a form to interact with potential employs. We obviously agree and are thrilled to offer this kind of opportunity to you.

Slide 23 That said, I think it's important to note, too, it is easy to use. Here is a point of noting that. Extremely user friendly. We found talent. We love to hear that. Very, very comfortable for people to use this sort of format. Just bear in mind if you have multiple people going to be joining in, we have tutorials, video tutorials, practice sessions you can attend if you want. Note it is quite easy to use and we are here to help to make sure you are comfortable with the whole solution in general terms. You can see by some of the comments here, it's efficient, cost effective. Slide 24 Here is a great one. They hired 13 people across two of these fairs. Again, talked about the efficiency of it. Time becomes a huge premium for everybody now. Literally not having to travel is of great benefit that needs to be put back into the cost structure when you really look at what does it cost to me to get to a specific recruiting event? It is important to know that the time savings is profoundly important in all of this because you don't have to travel on either side of just the day itself. You literally can be in this event. You might go to a meeting in the afternoon still. So you have the ability to really leverage the time and the resources of your recruiting group. Slide 25 So with that said, we are really, really thrilled to be part of this as the host. We are so incredibly impressed with Bender and thrilled that we are their partner in this. We tried to make sure this is affordable to all size companies. You can see here by looking at the price structure, if you get registered before the early registration deadline, August 28, it is only $395. If you wait until after that, it goes up a little bit to $495. It is still a good price to reach this broad pool of candidates, the candidates that are exactly the kind that you want to target to recruit, given that you want a diverse company. That said you might want to consider the webtsz or event sponsorship. Those do include the pricing of the event. Like I mentioned you have the visibility on the home page so you can have your company on the home page. Great branding that will directly link them back to your particular Web page or profile page on the website. The difference between the website and event sponsorships is that in addition to having the additional visibility on the home page, as an event sponsor you also have the logo on all the outbound marketing materials that is send sent out by hundreds of colleges around the country that will share this with either the candidates directly or with their disability offices. Just know the visibility around having your logo there is a great way to call out that you care about this particular community. Whichever one you choose, the pricing is going to include your own Web page. Like I showed you. The chat room, as I mentioned, and as many reps as you want to participate in this. The video tools, if you want to use those. Having access to the whole candidate pool, the rest plays, the spreadsheet of all the -- resumes of the candidates so you can recruit beyond the event. Also the job posting feature as well.

If you want to specifically post jobs that are part of your specific details of what you are trying to show case about what you are recruiting for, you can post it in the system and that will make it available to all of the candidates to get ready to register for the event. Slide 26 With that said, I hope I answered a lot of the questions you had about how this is going to work. We are thrilled to have you join us. And we know it is a great value for you. It's a great way for you to reach candidates that you might otherwise not have the ability to know and we are proud of being part of this with Bender. They are extraordinary people with a fantastic mission. If you need to ask any more questions, you'll see there's my phone number there and also you can reach out to us via . We would love for you to join us and be part of a unique initiative that allows you to recruit candidates living with disabilities who are excited about the ability to get to work and making sure that they are making a difference. Thank you for being herein and we hope that you will join us for the event. Take care.
