1 TARGET MARKET WORKSHEET YOUR IDEAL CLIENT By now you would of heard that you need to know who your target market is and why it is SUPER important. And you would of heard that it needs to be male or female, a particular age group, certain socio economics and so on. Pretty generic right? Well we are going to go even deeper than that! Without knowing WHO your ideal client is then you marketing will be generic and it won t speak to anyone. And you will not bring in the desired leads you are wanting OR attract the right people. No matter how hard you work unless you know with absolute complete clarity WHO it is that you are serving then achieving your business goals will be much harder. You need to get your true message out there of WHO you help and HOW you help them reach their desired outcome. I will let you in on a secret, you need to stop thinking like you and start thinking of your client. Now you can t do this unless you get in their heads and know them better than they know themselves. Open your heart and your mind and really seek to understand them because when you do this right you are on the right path to ensure your business succeeds. Let me say it again, you must learn to think and feel like your clients. When I was asked to do this a few years ago I was thinking in my head, yes yes I have heard this before and I have done it HOWEVER I had never gone as in depth as I did that day. Best thing I could of done because it gave me so much clarity in my business in who I serve and the why I do what I do. Instead of blending in with my competition it now makes me stand out. Know what they love, what they want and what keeps them awake at night. Your potential clients will look at you and think Wow, this trainer actually understands me From there you will know with certainty how to find them, how to serve them, what they want, what they need and how you can best serve them. This worksheet takes you through step by step what you need to know about your ideas client so you can have a clearer picture when it comes to implementing your marketing strategies.

2 Think of your ideal client. What do they all have in common? List everything from gender, age, income, martial status, lifestyle, hobbies, interests, family etc. Now out of those commonalities you have listed above create an ideal client. Describe this client so well that you know them better than they know themselves. TARGET MARKET WORKSHEET: YOUR IDEAL CLIENT PG 1

3 If you could give your ideal client a name what would you call them? Are they male or female? How old are they? What is their marital status? Where do they live? Level of education? Occupation? How much do they earn? What are their beliefs? What are they passionate about? How do they describe themselves? TARGET MARKET WORKSHEET: YOUR IDEAL CLIENT PG 2

4 What do they watch on TV? What music do they listen to? What magazines do they read? What websites do they follow? Who are the people they follow on social media? What interests do they have? What do they do on the weekend? Who is their idol? TARGET MARKET WORKSHEET: YOUR IDEAL CLIENT PG 3

5 What are their favourite foods? Where do they like to holiday? What do they worry about? What stresses them on a regular basis? When they buy your product what emotions come up? What is their worse case scenario if they don t take action? What do they wish for? What is the dream solution that they would pay anything for? TARGET MARKET WORKSHEET: YOUR IDEAL CLIENT PG 4
