11 COMPUTER APPLICATIONS SUPPLY LIST 2018/19 3 ring binder with dividers and tabs Lined paper (college rule lines notepaper) 8.5 x 11 Black or blue pen Pencils Computer headset with boom microphone. Headset must have twin 3.5mm plugs for headphone and microphone jacks. This is the only kind of headset that work with our lab computers. Cell phone earbuds will not work. USB headphones will not work. Headphones that require an adapter to have two 3.5 mm plugs have not worked well either. 1 pack of assorted color, non-odor, fine tip dry erase markers USB Flash Drive (thumb drive) with minimum 8GB capacity required every class session 3 containers of wet wipes (for keeping keyboard and mouse sterile) Keyboard cover for home practice (instructions provided when the semester begins; most students make their own covers) Software that students will need on their home computer in order to complete homework assignments: o MS Office - We use MS Office 2016 in the labs. Earlier or more recent versions of MS Office can be used as well. It may be that for some assignments older versions of Office may not include certain necessary tools. In that case the public computers at the public libraries have newer versions of MS Office. Also, CP has 5 computer labs that host most CP Study Halls. All software required for Computer classes is installed on all computers in all labs at CP. If the student does not have Microsoft Office at home, some (NOT ALL) assignments can be completed using either of the following: LibreOffice Suite (free download) OR OpenOffice Suite (free download)

13 ART 1 and 2 SUPPLY LIST 2018/19 All students must have the supplies on this list. Some of these art supplies are much more affordable if ordered on line from Pearl Paint. Ordering online allows for one-stop shopping. The prices listed are the average price from Pearl Paint. The website is: 1. Sketchbook: Bound, non-spiral, size around 8.5 X11 (May be purchased online at Pearl Paint or in a local art supply store. Some students have purchased these types of sketchbooks at Borders as well. No spiral sketchbooks please. I only recommend a hard cover, book-bound, sketchbook like this one, as the pages fallout from the soft-bound sketchbooks. / $11.00) 2. 3 Glue Sticks (can be purchased anywhere) ($1.00 each) 3. 1 Package of Prismacolor Pencils (Quantity 12 or 24) ($15.00) 4. Flexible, Stainless Steel, 18 Cork Backed Metal Ruler ($5.00) 5. Painting Smock / Oversized T-Shirt or Men s Dress Shirt 6. A set of Paint Brushes. Any set with a variety of at least 5 brushes will do. Affordable brush-sets may be purchased at a local art/craft supply store. It is recommended that the set contains one brush that is 1 in width.
