For 15 years Octopus Point Furniture Company Ltd. has been building our signature Modern Country Furniture collections.our furniture is hand crafted, hand finished, and designed to last for generations. We use the latest in high-tech and computer-controlled equipment and design software but ultimately, these pieces of technology are only tools wielded by skilled craftspeople. Our people are the heart of our company and in many cases, our journeymen craftspeople originally started with our company as apprentice furniture and cabinetmakers and have moved forward to complete their Journeyman Joiner and Cabinetmaker designations. Our furniture has been designed to find a balance between art and practicality. Form and function are interwoven to create furniture that is both beautiful and functional. Our finishes reflect our furniture s antique heritage, yet they are also extremely durable and will withstand the rigors of everyday use. We offer a stunning painted finish, using traditional country colours and distressing to give the warmth and feel of country antiques. We also offer our furniture in many different stain colours to fit both contemporay and heritage decorating themes. We produce several furniture collections to fit a wide range of decorating needs and we also build custom pieces: Nearly half of our production is given to building unique furniture pieces designed for a particular space. We work closely with Interior Designers and we constantly develop new styles and designs. We are also active with commercial projects and regularly design and build furniture for resorts, hotels, restaurants, and private schools. Please enjoy browsing through our latest catalogue. 3 Colours, Stains and Antiquing Our finishes are truly what set us apart. We have ceated a colour and stain pallet that we use in conjunction with our own style of antiquing to give our stained and painted pieces a warm patina. You may request light, no distressing, or heavy distressing. You may also add an antiquing glaze that adds depth to any antique finish. Our stain finishes range from warm honey ones to deep espresso and are suited to settings from country to contemporary. 5 The Kylie Collection Our Kylie Line is truly our premier Collection. We have spared no effort to produce a line of furniture that is an exceptional example of the journeyman craftsperson s art. Kylie hardware is contemporary in design and available in two finishes. Drawer boxes are dovetailed front and back and the Kylie bed may be customized to include upholstered panels in the headboard. Each Kylie drawer opening and door opening is beaded and doors and drawers are fitted, not overlayed. Our Kylie Collection features elegant footed bases, beaded drawer and door openings and sleek mouldings. Our Kylie collection includes several choices of dresser and bed sizes, buffet and entertainment units, and a complete office selection. For reasons of design esthetics and structural robustness, this collection is available only in maple.

Miyabi furnishings feature sleek doors and drawers and contemporary styling. Kimberly hardware is contemporary in design and available in several finishes and styles. We use european door hardware so doors can easily be adjusted or removed. Our Miyabi collection includes several choices of dresser and bed sizes, a buffet and two entertainment units. It is perfectly suited to spaces such as condominius where space is at a premium. For reasons of design esthetics and structural robustness, this collection is available only in maple.

Our chairs are built with floating tenon joinery and braced on the chair skirt corners for added strength and durability.

We have placed our chairs in numerous commercial settings as well as school dining halls. This means that we have a great deal of confidence in the quality of our chairs.

They can stand the rigours of commercial use so regular home use doesn t offer any new challenges! We offer our chairs in both pine and maple but for commercial use, we highly recommend maple. They are available with and without scooped seats and in all our regular stain and paint finishes. We also offer them with seat blanks that are designed to be covered with the fabric or leather of your choice. Our chairs are the perfect compliment to our tables and a matched set will last through the generations.
