1 Primary Care Support England The National Engagement Team (NET)
2 Background On 1 September 2015, Primary Care Support England (PCSE) took responsibility for the delivery of NHS England s primary care support services, introducing new arrangements to help create national, consistent services replacing the range of diverse current local arrangements. Through this contract, NHS England s vision is to create modern, efficient, easy to use support services. The National Engagement Team (NET) We recognise that moving to a national delivery model creates a need for locally based support: Account Management The NET provides a dedicated, proactive account management function to help enhance and optimize the end users experience of PCSE services Day to day responsibility for maintaining PCSE s relationships with local end users and associated stakeholders: the face of PCSE Preparation for Transformation: P4T Provide support by engaging with local end users to generate positive interest and successful systems adoption. Explaining what systems are coming when and the benefits to end users. Providing training and guidance on new systems. The PCSE National Engagement Team fulfils this purpose. The team is made up of a Stakeholder Director, 10 Regional Liaison Managers and 35 Local Training Managers. Introducing the NET Director of the National Engagement Team Guy Dickie, Director of the National Engagement Team, leads the NET and provides a point of contact for national bodies and organisations. Regional Liaison Managers We have appointed ten Regional Liaison Managers (RLM). Their role is to link to local and regional statutory bodies as an ongoing point of contact. Our RLMs will provide briefings on forthcoming changes, take feedback on the performance of services locally, make sure that any local problems are understood, and ensure that any appropriate actions are taken. 2
3 The type of organisations these managers would typically work with includes: Local Representative Committee s (LDCs, LMCs, LOCs, LPCs) Clinical Commissioning Groups Regional Offices of NHS England Regional Offices of Public Health England Regional Offices of Health Education England Local Training Managers (s) Our local Training Managers have two roles: 1. Firstly, they are here to deliver the PCSE services that have a local face to face element: a. Face to face checks of identity and document verification that are a part of the Performer s List process; b. Organisation and administration of appeals that are part of the pharmacy Market Entry process. 2. Secondly, they are local resources to help practices adapt to new ways of accessing PCSE services, providing training and support on transformed services. Contacting PCSE The PCSE Customer Support Centre is now your single point of contact for all services. Further details of how to contact them are available on the PCSE website - link. Contacting the NET If you d like to talk to someone about the changes that are planned for primary care support services, or if you re a practice that would like some training and support, contact details for your local NET representatives are provided below.
