Soaps with synthetic ingredients are harmful to the skin so it's nice to know that we can make our own home-made organic soap that are much healthier for the skin. This book gave lots of useful information regarding the different methods in making a soap and the recipe for various soaps. The instructions are easy to follow and I think I can make my own in no time. I will definitely recommend this book to all soap lovers out there. This new book by Amina Jacob covers all you will need to learn about soap making at home - great for the beginner. Talks about the basic techniques and the relevant materials and the appropriate recipes - all done in a writing style that is easy-to-follow. Recommended. Jake Since Iâ ve found that most commercial soaps are filled with artificial substances, comparable to all the artificial substances that are in processed meat, I looked for a more natural and healthy alternative to bath myself and cleanse my body. And I believe my search is over with the information and instructions I have received from reading this book. Very useful and easy to follow steps on how to make your own homemade soap. Iâ ve already made some soap following the Room Temperature Method and it came out great. I highly recommend this book for those who prefer to do most things pure and organically. This book covers all the methods and gives some good recipes to start with. There are quite a bit of typos that even I found and a good editor or the author just rereading her notes could have found.

4 For that little irritation I gave it only 4 stars. I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with homemade present and thought soap making would be perfect. The book gives great tips and background information on soap making with some great recipes for lovely smelling soaps. I ended up making the mocha scented soap and the coconut oil soap and she absolutely loved it and we are currently making the other recipes. A great read for DIY people. This is an excellent do it yourself book for making soap at home. I had always wanted to start making soap but just wasn't sure where to get started and I found this book to be a valuable resource. It provides basic step by step information that is easy to follow and the recipes are right on. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to make soap at home. Good Read, very insightful I was not pleased with the book it wasnot detailed enough, and the instructions were very skimpy. I would not recommend it for a first time soap maker. I found better instructions on you tube.
