Day 1 The world s largest glacier, located in the Swiss Alps, has more ice than any other glacier. It is 2 miles wide, more than 1,000 feet thick and 17 miles long. a) If the glacier were rectangular in shape, what would be its perimeter? Day 2 Ronney, Matt, Brandon, and Gary are training for the Olympics. They are excellent sprinters and just finished a trial run. Sprinters Time in Seconds a) Who had the fastest time? Explain. Each pair will compare their number with the other pair s number and write a comparison sentence. c) Using the same sixteen original cards, each student pair will select twelve cards to create the least possible number. Each pair will compare their number with the other pair s number and write a comparison sentence. Laquinta has been saving money for a shopping trip. She has 23 one dollar bills, 2 five dollar bills, 3 ten dollar bills, 14 half-dollars, 35 quarters, 74 dimes, 89 nickels and 214 pennies.
