7 ~o P~AY To Begin the Game:. Put all 6 Casting StonesTMinside the package box.. Beginning with the youngest player, players take turns drawing one stone at a time from the box without looking.. Each player will keep picking stones until they have one of one color and two of the other. If player picks a third stone of a color he already has, he picks again and gives the matching stone to his opponent. appear in the flashing wand.. Next you will be instructed to cast your spell stones. First the element (brown) is requested. Both players place their stone'on the small towers (see illustration). First, tower 1 (on the left) will recognize the power of the stone with one gong. Then tower 2 (on the right) will recongnize the stone with 2 gongs. Once the stones have been recognized, remove them. The power of each stone will be announced.. Next the artifact (white) stone is requested. Both players cast their stone.. Each player selects one stone of the duplicate color for the cast off and tosses it into the center of the playing area: If both players cast numbers, highest number wins, equal numbers tie. If one player casts a picture and the other a number, the picture wins. If both players cast pictures, it is a tie and both players cast again. Note: Any stone that lands on its edge when cast is a "leaner" and may be knocked over by the player who threw it so that the side they prefer is face up.. Player with the losing stone must set it to the side. It may not be used in the round.. Players place their stone as instructed into playset for first round of battle (see spell casting instructions below).. Redraw Casting Stones for each round of battle. To Begin the Spell Casting: Turn the playset ON. The playset will instruct you what to do. ON/OFF SWITCH You will be asked to place your characters. You may use the cardboard figures included or your own movie character figures (not included).. Each player inserts their character (see assembly illustration). You will know your character has been recognized when you hear 1 chime for the figure on the left and 2 chimes for the figure on the right. If you do not hear the chimes, re-insert your character.. Each character's name is announced and will LOAD YOUR CASTING STONES ON THE SMALL TOWER PICTURE SIDE UP. LINE UP THE "H" ON THE STONE WITH THE GUIDE ON THE TOWER AS SHOWN. NOTE: If you do not have the stone requested, you may cast a different stone. The set will ask you to use the correct stone. If you leave it there, it will accept it but you will get a penalty score. If stone moves out of position, realign on tower.. Now that both stones have been cast for each character, you will be asked to cast your spell. Both players push down on the spell casting button. The contest is a battle of powers combining the strength of the character and stones you have played.. If the spells are mismatched and one is much weaker than the other, the loser will be immediately ejected from the tower. The winner is announced and his name appears on the wand. If the spells are well matched, the PUSH DOWN ON THE SPELL CASTING BUTTON.

8 contestwill begin. The shooting spells will go back and forth until the stronger spell wins. The winner is announced each time. After a character has lost 3 rounds of battling, they are ejected from the tower. The contest is over and the most powerful wizard is announced.. You may bring another challenger to battle the winner or remove the winner and start a new game. NOTE: If there is no activity for 90 seconds, the set will go into a "sleep" mode until you activate it by turning the power switch off then on. WINNER'S NAME IS ANNOUNCED. consist of at least 1 silver stone, 1 white stone, and 1 brown stone. (Black chaser stones are "wild" and may be used I in place of any, or in addition to, the stones above.).. Using the five stones in his or her hand, each player will try to cast one of the following combinations: Spell = 1 silver stone, 1 white stone and 1 brown stone picture side up and any (2) stones number side up. Potion = All five stones picture side up. Charm = All five stones number side up.. Each player has two casts to get the combination he or she wants. On the second cast, a player may recast any or all of the stones in their hand.... The winner of the cast is determined as follows: Spell beats Potion. (If both players throw spells, add the two number stones, highest total wins. If the total is a tie, players start the cast over again.) Potion beats Charm. (If both players throw potions, the hand is a tie and the players start the cast over again.) Charm beats Spell. (If both players throw charms, add the numbers, highest total wins. If the total is a tie, players start the cast over again.) Advanced Set Up: Casting StonesTMare also available in Casting Stone Starter Sets and Casting Stones Booster Packs (sold separately and subject to availability). Only the white artifact, brown element, and black chaser stones will work in your play set. The silver character stones will not work. Once players begin to collect these stones they may choose to start the game with the advanced casting rules below:. Each player may come to the table with up to 9 stones in any combination of the three playable colors. (white, brown, black) and 1 additional silver character stone. You must have a silver character stone to play the advance set up game.. Players always play with their own stones. There is no drawing of stones in advance play. Note: Any stone that lands on its edge when cast is a "leaner" and may be knocked over by the player who threw it so that the side he or she prefers is face up.. The winner of the cast selects one artifact and one element stone from the loser's hand for the loser to load into the Powercaster that round. The winner may load any artifact and any element stone (or "wild" black chaser) they want from their own hand.. At the end of the round, both players must set aside the stones they loaded into the Powercaster and draw two new stones to use for the next round. Once a stone is loaded into the Powercaster it cannot be used again for the rest of the game.. The winner of the firstcast goes first on the next round.. Players select and cast (throw) a hand of five stones. Each hand must
