1 DMX -Channel Relay Board Overview A two-channel DMX relay switch for switching loads up to 0A at 40V AC per channel. he DMX switch operates on the standard DMX5 bus and requires - DMX channels for operation. Relays can operate Independently or be set as Flip-Flop Relays he DMX address can be set between and 5. Setup Address / J Switches Connections he DMX Switch (-Ch Relay) board requires a V DC supply at 500 mamps. (via.mm socket, center pin positive or wire terminal block positive () and minus (-) connections.) Connect the relay board to the DMX network using 5-pin XLR connectors. (Input and Feed through) Connect the loads / devices to the relevant volt-free relay outputs -. ( See relay setup and application example pages for details). Each relay is rated at 0 Amps at 40V AC. Settings - (See Pages on Control / Addressing) Set the required base address using the DIP switches through 9. Add-up the values where the switch is set to the positions. he base address is read continuously. Set the base address of Relay No. as follows: Determine the start address value to be used for the DMX Ch Relay board. (See DMX Value table for values and switch setting) Switch the DIP switches for the address value selected to the position. : DIP switches 5 =(6) and 6=(3) set to position, the base address for the DMX Ch Relay board is now 6 3 = 48, this setting is used to determine the starting address output of the first Relay. Address 48 is the base address for Relay No.. he address of Relay No. is the base address of Relay plus for Relay. : Base = 49 (Relay No. ) Relay No is 49 ( 48 =49) Relay Control (JP switch setting (Byte) he relays on-board can be set as two different modes, by setting J switch or in the position. -Individual Relay Control J switch = normally relay mode, operates from -DMX channels with individual relay Relay- DMX CH- Value Relay- DMX CH- Value 4-55 = 4-55 = Status Status 3-0 = 3-0 = DMX CH Value Relay- Status Relay- Status Less than 80 Between 80 and 60 Greater than 60 DMX LED- when a suitable DMX signal is being received or a flashing LED when valid DMX signal stream is being received by the -Ch DMX relay board.
