2 tt November 1-10, 2018 Nature Craft: Enjoy these fun nature-themed activities geared toward adults and older children. This month we offer Beachstone Jewelry and ornament making. Stargazing: A big dark sky with lots of stars is a memorable part of the Weekapaug experience. Join the Naturalist after dark to spot the moon and constellations. On Fridays when the moon is up we will use a telescope to view crater detail. (Note: there will be no planets visible in the evening sky until May 2018, at which time our popular planet viewing will recommence. Salt : Come walk the edge of the salt marsh with our naturalist and learn about the different plants and creatures that live there. Birding by Van: Our naturalist conducts a n hour-long tour around local marshes looking for migrating birds. Tour Weekapaug in : Take in the views and lovely lanes of Weekapaug in our open-air electric car. Half-hour tour.. room for five passengers. Birding by Electric Shuttle: Ride along in our Polaris GEM car while our naturalist conducts a tour around local marshes looking for migrating birds. The GEM does not have doors, so it is open for viewing, but also a bit breezy on chilly days. Naturalist s Beach Walk: Join our naturalist on an hour-long walk down the barrier beach. He will point out wildlife, interesting plants and landmarks. The beach is beautiful and great for walking throughout the year. Guides: The following guides are available at the front desk: Local jogging and biking maps. Points of interest map covering Mystic, CT to Newport, RI. Walker s guide to downtown Westerly. Printed directions to area attractions are also available at the front desk. Seal Days - Our naturalist, Captain Mark, will run boat excursions with the goal of spotting seals at the following times: Friday at 1:00, 3:00 & 4:30. Saturday at 9am, 10am, 2pm, 3pm and 4:30pm. Weekapaug Inn overnight guests will receive one ticket per person; guests at other OHMC properties may purchase tickets at $20 per person. Please make reservations at Weekapaug Inn front desk. Brew Master s Social Series: - Family style dinner highlighting exciting breweries and farms within a house-party setting. This month Shelton Bros.
