Reflection Sisters of St. Joseph Architectural Stained Glass We - as Sisters of St. Joseph have served the needs of God s people in Florida for the last 150 years. Our calling was to embrace the needs of the times. Our stained glass ministry fulfills that calling in a way that touches lives and hearts with beauty, love and spirit. People today, more than ever before, need signs and symbols to point the way toward the presence of God in their lives. They need help to focus on God s call for them. Sometimes, as Glass Artists, we are humbled to learn that the design of a stained glass piece, helped someone see God s design in their own life. Our fondest hope is to collaborate with our clients in a way that brings God s presence, love and peace to sacred spaces through the gift of stained glass. Through this art form and with the grace of God, we wish to teach, touch, and bring God s healing love into the lives of our clients, our Students, and all who gaze upon our works of Art. 2 Class Schedule Stained glass (all classes run for 6 consecutive weeks) Friday morning classes (10am Noon) January 7th - February 11, 2010 February 18th - March 25, 2011 Monday evening classes (5:30 7pm) December 13, January 24, 2011 March 14 April 18, 2011 Wednesday evening classes (5:30 7pm) January 12th - February 16, 2011, February 23rd - March 30, 2011 Learn to create beautiful stained glass art from Sister Diane Couture of the Sisters of St. Joseph. You will complete a beautiful stained glass panel and learn cutting, shaping, copper foil technique, soldering and finishing. Register early class size is limited. Beginning & Leaded Stained Glass Class cost: $ plus a lab fee of $ Supply kits: $ Discount for Returning Students: 10% off Class Fee!! Christmas Craft Weekend: December 4 5 (10am 4pm) This 2 day workshop will enable you to use new techniques such as silk screening, glass stamping, and glass painting to make small stained glass gifts for your friends and family. Experience in stained glass beneficial. Cost is $250 and all supplies are included. Bring your own tools or rent a set for the 2 days for $25. Glass Painting Workshops: February (10am 4pm) A 3 day workshop will focus on glass painting in the traditional German style. The cost of the class is $ and it includes paints and glass. If you wish to purchase a painting kit, the Studio makes kits available exclusively to students at $110 per kit. 2
