Beautiful Fluted Bead Sterling Rosary Beautiful sterling silver rosary with fluted beads.

The silver has a deep patina to the beads, but could be brightened with a little polishing.

2 Beautiful Fluted Bead Sterling Rosary Beautiful sterling silver rosary with fluted beads. The rosary is in wonderful condition with very light wear. The silver has a deep patina to the beads, but could be brightened with a little polishing. I always leave the rosaries in the condition that they are and let the new owner decide if they would like to clean/polish the pieces. The rosary is 22" in length and the cross is almost 2" long. Note the sterling stamp on both the cross and the center piece. The back of the center is Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The center depicts the image of Jesus carrying the cross. This was the traditional image used on soldier rosaries, though this one was most likely not used by a soldier. Sold for $ Antique Job's Tears Rosary- Unique Cross and Rare Joan of Arc What a unique antique, 100+ year old rosary! Made of Job's Tears- a seed resembling tear drops, even the cross is made from the seeds. Attached are two medals- a rare dated medal of Joan of Arc from 1909 and a lovely Immaculate Conception medal of Mary with a standing Sacred Heart of Jesus reverse. Both medals are aluminum, a metal that was actually highly valued at the time. The Joan of Arc medal is 3/4" in diameter, while the square medal is over an inch in height. The rosary is long at just shy of 23" when laid flat. Lovely antique French rosary- the links do have a tendency to kink so I would not recommend this rosary for daily use. Sold for $125.00

Amazing Art Nouveau Blue Melon Glass Rosary This is an incredible French rosary from the late 1800's to the turn of the century.

There are hallmarks on both the crucifix and the center, but I am unable to make them out.

00 Precious Coral Prosser Glass Rosary This sweet little rosary is from France is made of Prosser glass in a lovely shade of coral.

3 Amazing Art Nouveau Blue Melon Glass Rosary This is an incredible French rosary from the late 1800's to the turn of the century. I do believe it is all sterling silver from the styling and hallmarks. There are hallmarks on both the crucifix and the center, but I am unable to make them out. Very unique and beautiful melon shaped glass beads accent the rosary. The ave beads are mm in diameter and the pater beads are an impressive 13-14mm. The rosary is just shy of 22" when laid flat and the cross is 2" long. The one has some weight to the rosary at 71g! Lovely lilies adorn the center medal and look how smooth the corpus is from daily prayer. Note - the first link above the center, on the right hand side, has had the wire replaced at some point. The pater beads are accented with sweet silver caps on each side. Sold for $ Precious Coral Prosser Glass Rosary This sweet little rosary is from France is made of Prosser glass in a lovely shade of coral. Prosser beads are a early pressed glass bead first manufactured in the late 1800's and used around the world as trade beads. In the late 1800's and the early 1900's they were used in jewelry and rosaries. This rosary measures 14 1/2" and the crucifix is 1" long. Note - I couldn't get the rosary to photograph true to color. It is a little more on the pink spectrum than how it appears more orange in the photo. Sold for $85.00

Rare and Stunning Victorian Saphiret Rosary What a find!!! The wonderful hues of the saphiret beads are truly a treasure.

There is a mystic to saphiret, no longer made, the exact process has been lost or may just be too expensive to produce.

4 Rare and Stunning Victorian Saphiret Rosary What a find!!! The wonderful hues of the saphiret beads are truly a treasure. Some of the most rare and expensive late 1800's and early 1900's rosaries are those made with saphiret beads. There is a mystic to saphiret, no longer made, the exact process has been lost or may just be too expensive to produce. Actual gold was used in the making of these subtle beads. Produced in Gablonz, a famous glass bead making city in Bohemia (Czechosovakia), gold was added to a sapphire blue glass which produced the mysterious effect of the beads changing color in different lighting. The rosary is 19 1/2" in length when laid flat and the cross is 1 3/4" long. A stunning gold gilt over brass crucifix and center medal. Also, two added medals. The one attached above the cross is Saint Frances Xaveric Cabrini, also called Mother Cabrini. This medal was made in Italy. The other is a sliding rose medal attached at the center piece. Note that there is a slight bend in the cross just below the feet. Back Side of the Saint Frances Medal. Inscribed Sancta Fransica Xaveric Cabrini Made in Italy. The lovely hue of the Saphiret beads. The ave beads measure 5-6mm and the pater beads are mm. Note the blue that shows in different lighting. Sold for $595.00

Antique Soldier Rosary This is a wonderful rosary with the traditional soldier center medal featuring

This rosary was definitely personalized with a very unique brass cross.

The rosary is 17 1/2" in length and the cross is 1 3/4" long. Sold for $165.

5 Antique Soldier Rosary This is a wonderful rosary with the traditional soldier center medal featuring Mary on the front and Jesus carrying the cross on the reverse side. Worn smooth from years of devotion. The rosary is the "pull chain" style that is brass with silver plate over top. This rosary was definitely personalized with a very unique brass cross. The cross has the Blessing of St. Anthony of Padua on one side and the Blessing of St. Francis of Assisi on the reverse. With sweet detailing of a dove on one side and a angel/cherub on the other. The rosary is 17 1/2" in length and the cross is 1 3/4" long. Sold for $ s Antique Chaplet St. Joseph Very unusual and hard to find, this is antique St. Joseph Chaplet with 14 sets of 3 beads, then 6 beads leading in. Note that there is no center. The blue beads seem to be either an opaque glass or perhaps clay, but I tend to think they are glass. The white beads may be bone or some other material and are carved. It is 22" in length when laid flat. The little medal is 3/4". Much more common is the St. Anthony Chaplet. Lovely antique chaplet. It looks like the medal was silvered at one time, but has worn off exposing the brass. Sold for $95.00
