2 FOOD PRESERVATION DIVISION 1. Exhibitor must submit only ONE entry in each class. Each jar of canned food must have been canned since April In most part inspection will be MADE by visual inspection. HOWEVER, the need to open entries to inspect items when spoilage appears may be necessary. 2. All jars must be clear glass standard canning jars, either half pint or quart jars. Must be clean and rings and lids should be free of rust. NO OTHER JARS WILL BE ACCEPTED. All products must have been sealed by water bath or pressure canner. Paraffin is not accepted. Artificial items such as food, flowers, plants, etc. may be used for decorative purposes. No chairs, no benches, no stools. 2. Displays with fresh flowers or plants and other perishable items will be removed as authorized by the Fair Chair. 3. If there is an absence of competition, collection or items of the exhibit are inferior in quality and only of interest to the public, such awards will be made as, at the discretion of the judges, the exhibit merits. 4. The use of copyrighted, logos, or other material is prohibited. No commercial exhibits will be accepted. 5. The Fair has the right to reject or disqualify any entry considered unsuitable or in non- compliance with the Rules and Regulations of the Levy County Fair. 6. Adult and Youth will be judged separately. 7. Youth must set up their own exhibit.
