4 Foreword From October 21 to October , Shanghai will host Arts & Métiers Shanghai Such an exceptional event is organized by Arts & Métiers Alumni, featuring Arts & Métiers ParisTech Graduate School of Engineering. It is the opportunity for specialists in the industrial sector coming from all over the world to meet the representatives of Chinese industry through the visit of factories, conferences and round tables. On this occasion the Arts & Métiers Sino-French Cluster will be officially inaugurated. Over 400 people are expected to participate, a high proportion of which are French engineers coming from both Europe and Asia. China is a major player in the industry 4.0. A solid and faithful partnership has existed with Arts & Métiers for more than 30 years. I will be happy to meet you in Shanghai in the fall of Arts & Métiers Shanghai 2019 is a major event for our Community. In 2019 for the first time in its history, the Congress will take place in China. The program this year will address the major issues of industry 4.0, with a focus on the role of engineers throughout this major industrial revolution. Numerous professionals from the industrial sector will participate and share their views on the challenges in their respective fields.
