Abbott', 6.75 x 8.25in. (17 x 21cm.). Lot: 2 A Derby sauce boat 19th century, with double handles, lilac rim and band of floral decoration heightened in gilt, 219 and crown mark to base, 4½in. Lot: 21 An English part desert service possibly Plymouth, comprising a pedestal dish painted to the centre with a field poppy and the foot painted with convolvulus, roses and forget-me-nots, 1/66 mark in gilt, 5in. (13cm.) high, a set of five moulded plates painted with various flowers within gilt borders, and a cake plate of rectangular form painted with a pink rose. 4 Lot: 33 A Meissen style Pagoda figure candlestick 19th century, probably Dresden, the Pagoda boy porcelain figure with leaf hat mounted on a Louis XV style gilt bronze base with one arm supporting a rocaille sconce with porcelain flowers, 10½in. Lot: 34 A Continental sauce tureen and integral stand 19th century, pale pink ground with vignettes of floral bouquets with detail in blue and heightened in gilt, impressed DC mark and blue crossed swords marks to base. Lot: 44 A Sà vres bleu lapis sugar-bowl and cover possibly 18th century as it bears blue interlaced L's enclosing date letter D for and with a possible T and dot below, painted with exotic birds, each reserved on the dark blue ground within a gilt rocaille cartouche, the cover with ranunculus finial, 3¼in. (8.3cm.) high, chip to the rim of the cover. Lot: 45 A pair of Coalport wall pockets 19th century, with pale blue ground, painted with panels of flowers, one damaged to bottom right, 7½in. (19cm.) high. 5 A pair of 20th century Japanese bronze figures of farm workers one holding down his woven coolie hat with a band of cloth, his gown blown by the wind, on his back a basket suspended by a rope around his neck, the second figure holding in his left hand one end of a cloth around his waist, the folds containing a pile of grain, some of which he is preparing to cast from his other hand, both on shaped bases, each with a raised seal mark, 7½in. (19cm.) and 8in. (20cm.) high. (2) Estimate:   Lot: 50 A pair of large Chinese export famille rose chargers mid-18th century, the centre painted with a basket of blossoming peonies and magnolia, the rim with geometric border and alternate floral panels, and trumpet and ting vases, 16½in. Estimate:   Lot: 51 A small Chinese famille rose dish 19th century, the centre painted with two figures on a boat with a dog of fo with a crane flying above, the rim decorated with two pairs of burnt red fourclawed dragons heightened in gilt facing a flaming pearls, with red mark to base, 5¼in 13.5cm.) diameter. Lot: 57 A large Chinese export famille rose oval platter 19th century, the centre with a highly coloured scene of figures on a veranda besides a river, the rim decorated with pairs of five-clawed dragons, in blue, burnt red, mauve, pink, yellow and green, facing towards a pearl within cosmic waves, 17¾ x 4¾in. (45 x 37cm.). Lot: 58 A Chinese rock crystal style glass vase c.1900, of flattened baluster form, the body decorated with moulded decoration depicting swans swimming on rippled water, over half spiral gadrooned decoration, mounted on a gilt metal naturalisic base with prunus heads, 5¾in. (14.5cm.) high. Lot: 59 An Iznik pottery dish with white and deep cobalt-blue painted flowers on a turquoise ground, within a white rim, orange mark to base, 12¼in. (31cm.) diameter. Lot: 52 Lot: 60 A Chinese bronze baluster vase c.1850, of archaistic form, with A Bohemian enamelled glass goblet and cover c.1860, the widely flared rim, the body with central band of scrolled facet cut goblet with a broad enamelled band of floral decoration, with twin elephant head handles, 9½in. (24cm.) high. decoration, the facets and edges lined in black and gilt, the domed cover with teardrop finial, on a knopped stem and domed foot. Lot: 53 A Chinese enamel bowl and cover late 18th or early 19th century, the pale blue background decorated with Oriental symbols in dark blue and finely painted red and pink flowers and foliage, both bowl and lid edged by a band of yellow and blue stylised bats, 9in. Estimate:   Lot: 55 A Chinese carved mutton fat jade elephant probably 19th century, of archaic form, the back covered by an oriental fringed rug with the Yin & Yang motif in the centre and calligraphy incised on each side, standing on a hardwood base carved in the style of scrolling clouds, the figure 4¾in. (12cm.) long, 2¾in. (7cm.) high. Lot: 56 A set of four Oriental plates 20th century, with scalloped rims and green leaf decoration and four bats to the outside, red mark to base, 7¼in. (2) Lot: 62 A rare Stourbridge millefiori glass candlestick 19th century, with massive circular base, star cut to the underside, supporting a millefiori paperweight and surmounted by a faceted knop and hexagonal column, fitted for electricity, 15in. (6.5cm.) diameter. Lot: 65 A 19th century novelty glass whiskey decanter in the form of a pig 9in. (23cm.) long. Lot: 66 A 19th century novelty glass whiskey decanter in the form of a dog the handle formed from the curled over tail, the snout with open spout, 10¼in. (26cm.) long. Lot: 67 A small collection of Venetian glass early to mid 20th century, comprising a miniature basket in pink, green, blue and cotton twist, with clear twisted handle, 5¼in. (13.5cm.) high; together with a pink and cotton twist beaker, 3¼in. (8.3cm.) high; a waisted cup and saucer in pink and cotton twist with blue glass handle; and a miniature agate style glass goblet. (4) Lot: 68 An opaline glass vase of ovoid form c.1870, the everted neck having a most unusual blue and white double twist glass edging, the body bearing a hand painted polychrome spray of flowers surrounded by decorative gilding, 10¾in. Lot: 69 Two matching opaline glass vases c.1880, of elegant design, the elongated oval bodies with sepia printed decoration depicting male and female figure in classical dress, 11½in. (29cm.) high. (2) Estimate:   Lot: 70 A 19th century cut glass celery vase on a faceted teardrop stem and star-cut foot, the bowl with thumbnail cutting and a band of stars enclosed by entwined cut and frosted lines, 10½in. Lot: 71 A pair of gilded Bristol blue glass scent bottles mid-19th century, of facetted mallet form with applied scroll supports, enriched with gilt foliate and scroll decoration and matching facetted stoppers. (2) Lot: 74 Nine pieces of coloured glass eight deep blue and one amethyst, comprising a pair of shallow fluted oval dishes; a pair of tulip vases and another single; a pair of clear glass tumblers with blue glass spirals and a small glass pot plus another similar in amethyst glass. (9) Lot: 75 Ten pieces of glassware including two oil and vinegar bottles (one stopper missing); a silver overlay jug; a jug with a green glass handle; two salts; an egg trinket box; a small, etched tumbler and three glass decanter stoppers. (10) Lot: 76 Two pairs of glass decanters one pair late Victorian, onion shaped with moulded fluting to the body and lower part of the neck, the other pair later plain glass ship's decanters, one lacking stopper, 13½in. (4) Lot: 77 A spiral fluted glass ice pail with silver plated rim and swing handle, together with a plain heavy square glass ashtray and an oval shallow dish with moulded diamond pattern band and lobed rim. (3) Lot: 78 An early 19th century heavy glass goblet with white glass rim, the bowl engraved 'Carl Kügl' flanked with etched stems of oak leaves and acorns, crossed below and tied with a bow, on a substantial stem with flattened central knop and stepped plain foot, 9½in. Lot: 82 A large early 19th century Cut Glass Bowl, possibly Irish c.1820, with double ogee body, height 18.5cm., diameter 23cm. Estimate:   Lot: 83 A four-section clear glass decanter early 20th century, with etched decoration advertising "The Real American Cocktail Big Tree Brand Whiskey" on each of four sides, the divided neck with two applied collars retaining the original corked drawn glass stoppers, 11in.(28cm.) high. Lot: 84 An early 19th century cut glass Bowl, possibly Irish c.1810, with double ogee bowl and central knop to stem, on a fluted base, height 21.5cm. diameter 23cm. Estimate:   Lot: 85 Five glass water jugs 19th / early 20th century, one with heavy blown wrythen body, the second a footed helmet shape with two raised rings to the body, two other jugs with bands of strawberry/hobnail cutting and another with thumbnail cutting. (5) Lot: 86 An early 19th century footed glass vase Continental, the cylindrical bowl with two applied collars of rope twist glass, each set with four strawberry prunts, as is the open knop of the collared stem, standing on a domed foot with turned edge, 10¼in. Estimate:   Lot: 87 A large Gray-Stan footed glass bowl 20th century, the 'cracked ice' style bowl of inverted bell-shape, shading from pale to darker green at the rim, on a knopped stem, signed 'Gray Stan' to base, 10¼in. (26cm.) diameter. Lot: 88 An opaque white baluster vase with gilt vine and trellis decoration and flared rim, together with a white glass jug and a similar small, footed dish with shaped rim. (30.5cm.) high, some chips to horns and ears. (2) Lot: 201 An early 20th century travelling spirit stove the leather case enclosing a lidded and lipped copper pan in which is fitted the spirit burner, with a pierced copper gallery holding the spirit container, pan handle missing, the case 4¾in. (12cm.) high. Lot: 206 An unusually large pair of brass chambersticks mid-19th century, the plain columns with slots to access the slides for candle removal (knobs missing), the wide saucer bases with deep everted sides and ring handles, bases 9in. (23cm.) diameter. (2) Lot: 207 An alabaster carving of five sleeping children c.1860, lying entwined in a bird's nest lined with folded material, 7½in. (19cm.) diameter, some chips and cracking to the figures. Lot: 208 Two carved and pierced Canton ivory puzzle balls c.1870, with four concentric layers, on circular bases, the undersides carved with flowers, the balls surmounted by turned and carved columns, the capitals cut to accommodate mother of pearl plates, (one missing), possibly adapted from chess pieces. (2) Estimate:   Lot: 209 An unusual double portrait silhouette c.1870, the reverse painted on glass of a young lady and a gentleman, the lady wearing a large hat set with roses, a choker necklace and a dress with a deep lace collar, the gentleman in a top hat and coat with a broad collar and frilled lace cravat, the two portraits separated and framed by a half inch black border decorated with gilded scrollwork, 8 x 11.5cm. 13 of 38
