Agile Manifesto We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value: Individuals and interactions over processes and tools Working software over comprehensive documentation Customer collaboration over contract negotiation Responding to change over following a plan That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.
Antipatterns Jim Coplien: An anti-pattern is something that looks like a good idea, but which backfires badly when applied.

Auditor Manifesto We are uncovering better ways of auditing software development by forcing others do it how we tell them. Through this work we have come to value: Processes and tools over individuals and interactions Comprehensive documentation over working software Contract negotiation over customer collaboration Following a plan over responding to change That is, while there may be value in the items on the right, we have chosen to ignore them as they are difficult to audit. We only care about the items on the left and we will make sure that you do too!
Sinner s Manifesto We think we know what we are doing. It looks like a good idea or someone told us that is the best way to do it so we ll do more of it. Through this we may have accidentally come to value: Over The sin is not always a bad idea. There may be significant value in moderation, but in excess it can be an anti-pattern. The path the redemption is to look to the virtue.
