1 Circular: 0027/2011 To: Management Authority of Secondary, Community and Comprehensive Schools and the Chief Executive Officers of Vocational Education Committees Revised Rates for Locally Devised Assessment (LDA) 1. In line with the public sector pay rate reductions announced in Budget 2010, and with effect from this current academic year (2010/2011), LDA fees paid to assessors have been reduced by 5%. 2. Applications for LDA payments will only be accepted from Secondary, Community and Comprehensive Schools or centres that are managed by VECs which offer FETAC Levels 5 and 6 modules as part of full-time courses. 3. LDA module rates are based on the elements (written, practical and/or portfolio) involved. The revised rates for these elements are set out below and the revised module rates are set out in the attached table.
