HST s Master in Computer Science & Business Technology is handcrafted to kickstart your career in the design and development of disruptive new technologies that will reshape the nature of business. Throughout the unique structure of this 11-month program, you will master essential knowledge and skills in: Foundations of computing, AI, software, and digital technologies... Apps, infrastructure, and applied AI... Innovation methodologies, tech innovation strategies, and development practices... Your journey in this Master s Program will be: Go to for more detailed information on the program structure and content SPEED-START PERIOD * (1 Month) Dive into an intense and fun initial month** designed to ensure that students from all backgrounds have the essential building blocks necessary for the Master -- and to succeed in a career in applied computer science: Programming, Data Structures, Digital Math, and Business. Our mission is for entering students to start the Foundations Period on solid footing. ** Students who can demonstrate prior training/ experience may request to waive one or more of the Speed-Start courses. FOUNDATIONS PERIOD * (3 Months) Build solid and applied foundations in two areas: Digital Tech and Tech Innovation. Gain knowledge and practical experience in the latest digital business technologies such as AI, IoT, cloud, and blockchain; and, unique to HST, you ll learn the business innovation techniques that real companies use to design and develop their cutting-edge tech, like Design Thinking, Lean, Scrum, Agile, TDD... MASTERY PERIOD (7 Months) Go deep in applied Computer Science. You ll take courses and do projects in 3 critical areas: Tech Dev (advanced data structures & algorithms, databases, app and mobile development, usability,...), Applied AI (machine learning, recommendation engines, natural language processing, bots, computer vision,...), and Tech Infrastructure (cloud, mobile, dev-ops, distributed systems, scalability,...). HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE Throughout this master, you ll work in teams to design and develop tech in practical projects that apply computer science to real-word business use-cases in consulting challenges, hack-a-thons, data-thons, and other hands-on activities in conjunction with corporate partners. * Students with prior experience in these fields will be able to test out. * During the Speed-Start program and the Foundations Period, you will share classes with students from the Master in Digital Business and Innovation, a related program with greater emphasis on business. When you finish your Foundations Period, you ll be able to choose between the Master in Computer Science and Business Technology and the Master in Digital Business and Innovation.
