Frontier research is related to academic innovation and subject development of library science. Using the general biometrics or knowledge mapping method, we can find hot spots, but we can't find the frontiers directly. To explore the frontiers of library needs a scientific path, this paper proposed 3 kinds of path, emphasis on cutting-edge research must establish problem oriented and must use scientific methods and tools that must go through the process of scientific research.
