Kindermann history A long story of success Kindermann was founded in Berlin in 1861. Its story started with the production of petroleum lamps, the subject of light accompanies Kindermann to this day.

When electricity was widely introduced at the end of the 19th century, we were looking for new business fields, which we found in photography - an area that became increasingly interesting from a commercial point of view. From the first darkroom safelights to complete photo lab equipment, Kindermann developed into a renowned company in this industry. World War II forced Kindermann to relocate to the area near Würzburg. From 1950 onwards, Kindermann was headquartered in Ochsenfurt, until the company moved into its new, state-ofthe-art premises in Eibelstadt at the turn of the year 2012/2013 after a construction time of nearly two years.
