7 ADVANCED MATERIALS PRODUCTS Materials are emerging as the enablers for fabricating the most advanced logic and memory devices. Our Advanced Materials business supplies products for three key manufacturing areas: thin film deposition, Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) and surface, preparation and cleaning. The Advanced Deposition Materials business provides high-purity specialty gases and chemicals, such as organosilane and organometallic precursors that are used to deposit dielectric and metal thin films that comprise an integrated circuit. The Planarization business includes CMP slurries and post-cmp cleans that are used to polish deposited thin films prior to the next lithography step within the device fabrication process. These materials are designed to provide high tunability and wide process windows to meet broad customer performance requirements. Our Surface Preparation and Cleaning business supplies products to remove materials from the surface that could result in defects and loss of product yield. Versum works directly with partners to fill the needs of their unique formulated cleaning applications in integrated circuit (IC) fabrication and packaging processes including front-end, back-end and wafer/panel-level packaging steps.

8 PROCESS MATERIALS PRODUCTS Our Process Materials business provides specialty gases for depositing thin films, etching features within film stacks, cleaning process chambers to mitigate particles that could result in defects and modifying the electrical properties of films by doping. These products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and are provided to customers in containers that range from small cylinders, which hold only a few kilograms, to bulk containers and tube trailers that hold thousands of kilograms. Fluorine is present in many of the products within our portfolio. Versum has a deep understanding of fluorine chemistry and process engineering for safely handling these reactive chemistries. Container preparation is vital to assuring that our products in these vessels reach our customer maintaining the same level of quality prior to shipment. The demands for higher and more consistent quality require continued development of new analytical methods to measure impurity levels reaching the parts-per-trillion (PPT) range. 8 VERSUM MATERIALS

9 DELIVERY SYSTEMS & SERVICES Many of the products utilized in fabricating semiconductors are highly reactive and/or hazardous. For safe storage and delivery of these materials to the process chambers, they must be stored in cabinets that can contain the vessels should they rupture to safely vent the released gases or liquids. We are a technology leader in gas and chemical delivery equipment. The CHEMGUARD and CHEMKEEPER liquid cabinet delivery systems are the benchmark products for storing liquid precursors that are used to deposit thin films. For specialty gases the GASGUARD, GASKEEPER and GasSTAR cabinets are the industry standard for cost-effective gas supply. Our FLOWMASTER CMP slurry delivery system and FLOWMASTER post-cmp chemical blend/delivery system complement our CMP slurries and post-cmp cleaning products. Our MEGASYS total gas and chemical services is the premier supplier of semiconductor fab and sub-fab services to the worldwide electronics industry. This service includes engineering solutions, maintenance activities and coordination of chemical, gas and advanced materials. VERSUM MATERIALS 9
