2 A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIRMAN When the business awards were launched in 2011 they were designed to promote the Australian subsea energy industry by drawing attention to excellence and innovation. It was also designed to do something that we don t do enough of, namely acknowledge the achievements of individuals and companies of all sizes. I would like to take this opportunity to say congratulations not just to our winners, runners up and finalists, I d also like to thank the 149 individuals whom took part in nominating what they saw as remarkable achievements in our industry. As the industry shifts tact, driven by market conditions or phases, as well as technical advancements and disruptions, our role as an industry body is to help our members enter or expand their own supply chains. Going forwards we will continue to host events to provide networking opportunities, but importantly, make full use of new methods of communication. Thank you all for being part of this event and for your on-going involvement in our efforts to build the Australian Subsea Energy industry domestically and internationally. Industry Nomination 3D at Depth Perth, Australia 3datdepth.com Taking LIDAR technology subsea allowing subsea surveys to be carried out in a fraction of the time to a high degree of accuracy. 3DatDepth have put in a considerable R&D effort to make subsea laser scanning using LiDAR technology a reality. I have worked with them on 2 projects in 2015 and 2016 and have seen the innovative technology first hand - the applications and benefits will only increase from here. - Industry Nomination

WoodGroup and in particular Adriana Botto (Project Manager) is to be commended for the energy and time invested in making the JIP/Network a reality and then sustaining it over the course of many years. - Industry Nomination UWILD Class Survey Geo Oceans, Woodside, and Lloyds Register Shows us how excellent collaboration using new technology can deliver improvements in both cost and quality. The collaboration between Geo Oceans, Woodside, Lloyds register and all other stakeholders allowed an unparalleled success for a diverless UWILD inspection providing a best in class's for safety, quality and cost outcome. 18 SPECIAL RECOGNITION Mike Robinson Each year the Subsea Energy Australia Board selects and votes on a person who has provided more than 10 years of outstanding service, demonstrating dedication & commitment to the subsea industry. The board of SEA voted unanimously to award the special recognition award to Mike Robinson, our previous Chairman of 4yrs. He committed significant amounts of time and passion to the SEA and contributed significantly to what SEA is today. Mike announced his retirement from SEA and pending move back to the US to take up position as regional director of FMC Technologies in Houston.
