1 Agenda item: (Board Office to complete) USF Board of Trustees October 16, Issue: Facilities & Equipment Effective Fall, Tampa (Research) Campus Proposed action: Approval of Facilities & Equipment fees for courses effective Fall Background information: State University Student Fees FS (13)(n) Fees and fines relating to the use, late return, and loss and damage of facilities and equipment. The Board of Trustees approved the application of the Faculties and Equipment Fee using an emergency regulation effective Fall to implement this fee. Fees were developed by each College and reviewed by the Provost s Office to ensure that the expenditures are in compliance with the rule. If approved by the Finance and Audit Work Group, the Facilities & Equipment fees will be presented to the Board of Trustees for approval at its December meeting. Since the Facilities & Equipment fees are at cost and do not change the regulation that was approved earlier by the Florida Board of Governors, there is no requirement to promulgate the fees through the Board of Governors Regulation Development Procedure. Strategic Goal(s) Item Supports: Enhancing all sources of revenue, and maximizing effectiveness in business practices and financial management to establish a strong and sustainable economic base in support of USF s growth. Workgroup Review: Finance and Audit Work Group, October 16, Supporting documentation: List of courses with new fees Prepared by: Nicole Burke 813/
