We metallurgically bond diamonds to high specification steel edges to make blades that are dependable and durable without being brittle. A significant improvement over both traditional toothed and electroplated diamond saw blades. Continuing Development The performance characteristics of our diamond band saw blades are the result of our continuing and extensive R&D programme into both the metallurgical properties and mechanical behaviour of band saw blades in action. The mechanical and physical properties of these blades can be tuned for optimum performance in their target markets - cutting particularly sensitive and difficult materials with precise control and high stability. Diamond Grit Band Saw Blades The next step in our diamond band saw development program will be to introduce a range of patented reduced kerf technology (RKT) blades. These ground breaking blades will have a thinner cutting edge than standard on the normal gauge backer resulting in faster thin kerf cutting without sacrificing strength. This will be a world first for diamond band saw. The RKT blades will be available in a range of grit and band sizes to achieve optimum speed with minimal vibration, greater stability and high quality of cut resulting in reductions in material waste. 5 Tungsten Carbide Grit Band Saw Tungsten Carbide Grit Band Saw A tough and durable blade to cut the most difficult of materials NT Tools have developed a range of band saws that exploit the potential offered by Tungsten Carbide grit to cut the most difficult of materials. Tungsten Carbide Grit, one of the hardest materials known, is metallurgically bonded to a steel base to form permanent cutting edges instead of teeth. These blades offer significant improvements in performance and durability over traditional toothed blades. The unique cutting action and inherent toughness of Tungsten Carbide Grit band saws enables users to effectively and economically work difficult, hard, snaggy, abrasive and brittle materials that defeat even the sharpest and most advanced toothed alternatives.
