2 Vastern Timber offers a wide range of British grown and imported timber cladding products for both residential and commercial projects. Selected from naturally durable timber species, our cladding needs very little maintenance and will last for decades. Specifications Our timber cladding is produced with both sawn and smooth finishes and in a range of profiles, details of which can be found on our website. Being naturally durable, our timber cladding does not need to be treated after installation. Left untreated, the boards will weather to a silver grey colour. Should you want to preserve the original colour we offer the Osmo range of external UV resistant oils, details of which can be found in our Finishes and Fixings price list. It is our recommendation that all timber cladding is installed using stainless steel nails or screws. This is particularly important for cedar, oak and sweet chestnut. When calculating how much timber cladding you require, we highly recommend that you allow at least 10% extra for waste. Additional small quantities will incur a set up charge of 60 +VAT. Samples We are happy to provide specie samples free of charge although the availability of profiles will depend on current stock. Where samples are provided please be aware that these are intended to give an indication only as to how your cladding will look.
