EasyRise Shadings Operation Pull the front or rear cord to raise or lower the shading. The shading will hold its position when you release the cord. To Lower the Shadings Pull down on the rear cord of the cord loop (indicated by the grey arrow). With the shading fully lowered, continue to pull the rear cord to open the vanes. To Raise the Shadings With the shading fully lowered, pull down on the front cord of the cord loop (indicated by the gray arrow). IMPORTANT: If the cord tensioner moves up the cord, you have not secured it to the wall or window casement. You must do so for the shade to operate properly. 6 ULTRAGLIDE Shadings Pull the cord straight out from the fabric at an angle greater than 25 degrees. Pump the cord outward using short strokes to gradually lower the shading. To stop the shading in any position, stop pulling the cord and allow it to fully retract. The vanes will remain in the closed position unless the shading is completely lowered. IMPORTANT: Avoid pulling the cord in the non-operable zone, the area between the angle for lowering the shading and the straight down position for raising the shading. To Open the Vanes Continue to pull out on the cord at an angle greater than 25 degrees after lowering the shading completely. To Close the Vanes & Raise the Shadings Hold the cord close to the fabric and pull straight down. Pump the cord down using short strokes to gradually raise the shading. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the shading or personal injury, do not release the cord until it is fully retracted. To avoid breaking the cord, do not use long strokes (over 1M) or apply excessive force on the cord while pulling it. REPLACES ISSUE DATE: N/A APPROVED BY: D.ALTIPARMAKOVA PAGE 6 OF 28

PIROUETTE Shadings PowerRise Platinum Technology Before you begin, operate the window covering using infrared control to make sure that you are communicating with only one window covering and that the window covering is working properly. TIP: Move the remote as close as possible (50-75mm) to the sensor eye when assigning groups. 1. With a paperclip, press and release the recessed SETUP button on the back of the remote. The Indicator Light on the front of the remote flashes green for approximately 30 seconds. 2. While the Indicator Light is flashing green, press the group button for the group to which you plan to assign the window covering. 3. Point the remote at the sensor eye of the window covering and press the OPEN button to add the window covering to the group or the CLOSE button to remove the window covering from the group. The window covering moves slightly (or jogs ) to indicate that it has been added to or removed from the group. 4. Exit setup mode by pressing and releasing the SETUP button a second time. The remote saves any changes made and the Indicator Light stops flashing. Note: This is a basic programming description. Refer to the Remote Control Programming Guide for more details. 8 PIROUETTE Shadings Vane Alignment & Zero Bottom Panel Vane Alignment The bottom fabric panel is adjusted to accommodate the height of the shading and allow for top to bottom vane alignment. Vane alignment should be within 8m from one shading to another when mounted at the same height. The height of the bottom fabric panel varies with vane size and ordered height. Depending on the shading height, the bottom fabric panel will vary in size up to 100mm for the 100mm vane size and up to 120mm for the 120mm vane size. Side-By-Side Shades To ensure shadings are fabricated with the bottom panels at the same height, they must be ordered at the same time, in the same fabric style, colour, vane size and opacity with identical drop measurements and have side-by-side indicated on the order form. For reveal fit, if the ordered widths are within 10mm of one another, order both shadings using the longer of the two drop dimensions. Vane alignment should be within 3mm for shadings ordered side-by-side. REPLACES ISSUE DATE: N/A APPROVED BY: D.ALTIPARMAKOVA PAGE 8 OF 28

Zero Bottom Panel (ZBP) - Bottom Fabric Panel Option for Face Fit PIROUETTE Shadings As an alternative option to the varying bottom fabric panel on PIROUETTE Shadings, ZERO BOTTOM PANEL can be requested. Zero Bottom Panel eliminates the fabric panel at the bottom of the PIROUETTE Shading, making it into an operable vane. This means that when the vanes are opened for view through, the last vane will also open and their will not be any fabric panels obstructing the view. BEFORE Face mount with flat fabric panel. AFTER Face mount with a zero bottom panel. The flat panel of fabric becomes a longer operable vane. Due to the fabrication process and the nature of PIROUETTE Shading fabrics, note the below requirements and conditions for Zero Bottom Panel. Mounting Requirements Only available with Face/Outside mount PIROUETTE Shadings PIROUETTE Shading Ordered Drop V s Fabricated Drop The final drop of the window covering is dependent on the amount of fabric required to make the last vane operable The drop will be increased by up to 120mm Exact drop of the window covering cannot be predicted at point of order Order drop dimensions as per normal and the drop will be adjusted accordingly at point of fabrication REPLACES ISSUE DATE: N/A APPROVED BY: D.ALTIPARMAKOVA PAGE 9 OF 28

PIROUETTE Shadings General Product Information Adjusting the Shade To adjust, access the bottom rail weight in the bottom rail from the back of the shading. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot in the weight lock. Rotate each lock up to release the weight. Slide the weight, in 25mm increments, in the direction the fabric is gathering. Test and, if necessary, adjust again. After final adjustments, rotate each lock down toward the outside of the rail to secure the weights. Allow at least 25mm of weight to overhang each lock. Note: Adjust the bottom rail weight only if the fabric does not roll up straight into the headrail. 25mm Inherent Characteristics of PIROUETTE Shadings The room-darkening option offers enhanced light-blocking capabilities. For maximum room darkening, we recommend face fitting with 76mm width overlaps on each side. Please note that the room-darkening option does not provide complete blockout. There will be some slight light leakage where the vanes meet as well as on the sides of a reveal shading. Slight fabric anomalies are inherent characteristics of this product and are not considered faults. Slight wrinkling, puckering, or bowing is inherent to this textile product and should be considered normal, acceptable quality. These characteristics are not usually visible from the front or rear but may be visible from a side angle. Precautions should be taken to reduce exposure to harsh environmental elements, such as salt air. Continuous exposure through open windows and doors will accelerate the fabric deterioration. 17 Installation Reveal Fit Application With reveal fit applications two screws are used to attach each installation bracket to the top sill of the window opening. Measure in 50mm from each reveal end for bracket location and mark the centreline of the screw holes. Place the screws on the marked locations and position the brackets so that front edges are aligned and level. Refer to below for minimum or fully recessed mounting requirements. Face Fit Application With the window covering lowered, centre it over the window opening at the desired height and mark each end of the Headrail. Measure and mark the centrelines 50mm in from end of the Headrail. Centre each installation bracket on the marks and locate the centrelines where the screws will be secured. A minimum of 16mm mounting surface is required and the brackets must be perfectly aligned. Spacer Blocks Mount spacer blocks with their solid sides facing the mounting surface. Locate the top of the spacer blocks at the desired shade height. Mounting screws for spacer blocks should be long enough for a secure installation (screws not supplied). Use a maximum of 3 spacer blocks per bracket. Extension Brackets Position the brackets on the marked centrelines and attach each with two [2] screws. The tops of all brackets must be perfectly level. Connect the installation brackets with the machine screw and speed nut included with each extension bracket. Be sure to use the same hole on all the extension brackets, so each installation bracket projects the same distance from the mounting surface. Between the rows of holes in the extension brackets, there are indentations in the metal where extra length may be cut off (a hack saw works well for this purpose). Trim the brackets before mounting them. REPLACES ISSUE DATE: N/A APPROVED BY: D.ALTIPARMAKOVA PAGE 17 OF 28

Installation (Continued) End Mount Installation End mount the Headrail when conventional mounting techniques do not work, such as arched windows. The extension bracket is used in an end mount application and requires a minimum surface area of at least 38mm. Attach the installation brackets to the extension bracket using the provided screws and machine nuts. Hold the shade assembly in the window opening and mark where to drill holes for the extension bracket screws. Use a level to make sure the headrail is perfectly horizontal. Window Covering Installation Position the window covering so that the cord faces you. Slip the Headrail into the installation brackets so the front bracket slides under the front groove on the top of the Headrail. Then gently roll the back of the Headrail up and push back to snap into place. Removing the Window Covering While holding the Headrail, lower the window covering approximately 26mm, push back on the bottom tab of the installation bracket to release the bottom edge of the Headrail. After releasing the bottom edge, roll the back of the Headrail downward and out from the bracket. If the bracket is stiff, the Headrail may be difficult to remove. Use a small flat blade screwdriver and then push the blade against the bottom tab of the installation bracket. Hold-Down Brackets (Optional) Lower the shade and place the pins from the hold-down brackets into the bottom rail end caps. Then on the mounting surface mark the bracket hole locations. Check that the brackets are level and aligned and attach them to the mounting surface with two screws. Ensure that the bottom rail is disconnected from the hold-down brackets if the window covering needs to be raised. REPLACES ISSUE DATE: N/A APPROVED BY: D.ALTIPARMAKOVA PAGE 18 OF 28

Operation Trouble Shooting Problem: The shade will not fit into the installation brackets. Solution: Check that the installation brackets are level and aligned. Adjust and/or shim to level, if necessary. Be sure the heads of the mounting screws are flush against the installation bracket. Check that the headrail is completely inserted into the installation brackets. Problem: The shade is hard to raise or lower, or will not raise or lower. Solution: Check that the cord tensioner is mounted correctly (refer to Child Safety Installation Instructions). Make sure that the shade fabric is not caught between the installation bracket and the headrail. Check that the headrail and installation brackets are level and aligned in the window. The window may be out of square. To check if the window is square, measure the diagonals. Level the headrail by shimming the installation brackets, if necessary. Check that cord loops are not pinched or tangled. If hold-down brackets are used, make sure they have been released before operating the shade. Check if the fabric rolls up evenly in the headrail. Problem: The universal cord tensioner has climbed to the Headrail. Solution: Pull down on the spring to relieve tension and pull the universal cord tensioner to the bottom of the cord loop. Properly mount the cord tensioner (refer to Child Safety Installation Instructions). Problem: The universal cord tensioner grabs onto the cord upon operation. Solution: Check that the universal cord tensioner is mounted properly. Reinstall, if necessary (refer to Child Safety Installation Instructions). Problem: The fabric winds unevenly or starts to rub against one end of the headrail. Solution: Shade Height Adjustment The window may be out of square. Check that the window is square by measuring the diagonals. Shim the installation brackets to level, if necessary. If the headrail is level and the window is square, adjust the bottom rail weight. REPLACES ISSUE DATE: N/A APPROVED BY: D.ALTIPARMAKOVA PAGE 19 OF 28

Operation Trouble Shooting (Continued) Adjust the bottom Rail Weight IMPORTANT: Only adjust the bottom rail weight if the fabric does not roll up straight into the headrail. To adjust, access the bottom rail weight in the back of the bottom rail. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the slot in the weight lock. Problem: The shading does not close completely. The vanes stay contoured, not flat when closing. Solution: Roll Up the Shade Using the cord, open and close the shading quickly. Then roll up the shading slowly to flatten the vanes. Problem: The vanes will not open when the shading is first operated. Solution: Pull Down on the Bottom Rail Open and close the shading quickly to help open the vanes. If necessary, gently pull down on the bottom rail. REPLACES ISSUE DATE: N/A APPROVED BY: D.ALTIPARMAKOVA PAGE 20 OF 28

Operation Trouble Shooting (Continued) Problem: If the tassel cord length is longer than a height of 1600mm above floor level. Solution: Shorten tassel cord to a height of less than 1600m above floor level or use cord cleats to secure the cord. To shorten the tassel cord to a height of less than 1600m above floor level, grasp both parts of the tassel (the colored cover and the frosted body). Squeeze the tassel cover with your thumb and forefinger and separate and slide the tassel cover off from the tassel body. Pull out the knotted end of the tassel cord. Retie the cord at the desired shorter length, using a double knot. Trim the tassel cord. Pull the trimmed knot up inside the tassel. Squeeze the sides of the tassel cover together while sliding it back onto the tassel body. After reassembling, be sure there are no gaps between the two components. Check that they do not pull apart easily. The tassel cover should be securely seated into the tassel body. If the cord length is longer than 1600m above floor level, the cord must be secured using Safety Cleats. Refer to Child Safety Installation Instructions for correct installation of Safety Cords. 22 CARE & CLEANING LUXAFLEX PIROUETTE Shadings are made of 100% polyester, which means they are inherently durable and resilient. However, care must be taken to avoid wrinkling the fabric, particularly where the vanes meet the sheer backing fabric. CAUTION: Do not steam PIROUETTE Shading Fabrics. THE FABRIC COVERED HEADRAIL: Lightly dust with a clean, dry cloth, vacuum using low suction, or spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. DUSTING: Regular light dusting with a feather duster is all the cleaning that is needed in most circumstances. VACUUMING: Use a low suction, hand-held vacuum for more thorough dust removal. SPOT CLEANING: Spot clean with a damp cloth using a mixture of water and mild detergent. ULTRASONIC CLEANING: PIROUETTE Shadings can be ultrasonically cleaned by a professional. Specify that a mild detergent solution be used. Never immerse the headrail in the solution. Dry the shading completely in the lowered position. During winter in particular, condensation may develop on the glass of the window due to the insulation abilities of the product. If condensation does occur it is essential that the blind be retracted for a period to allow for maximum air flow and the evaporation of the moisture to minimise damage to the blind fabric. A NOTE ABOUT PIROUETTE SHADING FABRICS As with all textiles, PIROUETTE Shading Fabrics is subject to some variations. Continuous exposure through open windows and doors will accelerate fabric deterioration. PROTECTING YOUR CHILDREN Please be aware that blind cords or chains pose a strangulation hazard for children. To reduce the risk of strangulation this internal window covering must be installed in such a way that a loose cord cannot form a loop 220 mm or longer at a height of less than 1600mm above floor level. CHILD SAFETY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Be aware that it is possible for children to strangle in window covering cords. To reduce the possibility of such an accident, all cords and chains must be kept out of reach of children, including infants. Cord cleats and cord tensioners are an effective way to implement this essential precaution. REPLACES ISSUE DATE: N/A APPROVED BY: D.ALTIPARMAKOVA PAGE 22 OF 28

PIROUETTE Shadings ULTRAGLIDE INSTALL CORD CLEATS Your blind is provided with a cord cleat. It is essential that the following installation instructions are adhered to: If a cleat is used to secure the cord, it must be at least 1600mm above floor level to prevent children from unwinding the cord from the cleat. Attach the cord cleats 153mm to 305mm apart at a height at least 1600mm above floor level to prevent children from unwinding the cord from the cleat. Take into account that a child may stand on a baby cot or other furniture in an attempt to reach the cords. Once the cleats are attached, simply wrap the excess cord around them after each use of the shade, as shown. SAFETY DEVICES This pack includes the following child safety device: Safety Cleat Pack 26.XXX.000 Cord Cleat NOTE: For your window covering to be child safe, the cord cleats must be correctly mounted and secured. See instructions above. PIROUETTE Shadings EasyRiseOperation INSTALLING THE CHAIN GUIDE/TENSIONER the following installation instructions are adhered to: 1) The cord guide may be installed lower than 1600mm above floor level if the cord is sufficiently secured or tensioned to prevent a loop of 220mm or longer being formed; 2) If a cord guide is installed lower than 1600mm above floor level it must be fitted to prevent a child from being able to remove the cords. This pack includes the following child safety devices: Universal Cord Tensioner XXX Cord Tensioner Hardware These safety devices are suitable for installation onto the following surfaces: Timber Aluminium. Gyproc (Spring Toggle) Brick (Wall Plug) NOTE: The Spring Toggle and Wall Plug are not included in this pack.
