1 Installation Guide Tilt/Swivel Flush Mount for 23'' and Larger Flat Panel isplays WRNING: This mounting system has a weight limit of 100 lbs [45.36 kg]. o not mount a display weighing more than 100 lbs [45.36 kg] on this Tilt/Swivel Flush Mount. The purpose of this guide is to describe installation of the mount and mounting a display on the mount. 2 Mounting Flush Mount in hannel 1. Guide hannel Slide (rear of Mount) into top of channel and move to desired mounting position. Using the 1/8'' hex wrench provided, tighten four (4) socket set screws (below right) to secure Mount in hannel. Tighten Set Screws Tighten Set Screws Existing hannel U-FLP Rev 9/08/08 GX orp. 3 Mounting a 23'' to 31'' isplay Installation Note: The display must be equipped with a 100 x 100 mm or 100 x 200 mm VES mounting pattern for attachment to the Tilt/Swivel Flush Mount. M4 pan head machine screws (PHMS) are included for different depths of threaded inserts in the VES mounting pattern. 1. etermine required length of M4 mounting screw for fastening display to Mount. 2. Thread two (2) M4 PHMS into the upper two (2) mounting holes of the VES mounting pattern (rear of display), leaving 5mm of thread exposed (upper illustration). Hang display on Mount by guiding these two (2) screws into the slots on top of the Mount. 100 x 200 mm Mounting Pattern 100 x 100 mm Mounting Pattern M4 PHMS (2) with 5 mm Exposed Thread Upper Slots 3. 4 Mounting a 31'' (iagonal) or Larger isplay Installation Note: The Mounting dapter (provided) must be used when mounting larger displays on the Tilt/Swivel Mount. M6 socket head cap screws (SHS) and M4 pan head machine screws (PHMS) are included for different depths of threaded inserts on the rear of the display. Various possible mounting patterns are shown below. WRNING: The Mounting dapter must be attached to the Tilt/Swivel Flush Mount with four (4) slots oriented upward as shown in below. Failure to attach the Mounting dapter with slots up could cause the display to fall off the Mount. The following table lists available mounting patterns and screw size required for each mounting pattern. See Parts Reference on page 1 for screw sizes included in this installation kit. Mounting patterns are identified below right. Using the 1/2'' wrench provided, fasten the Mounting dapter to the Tilt/Swivel Mount with four (4) 5/16-18 Lock Nuts and 0.75 x 0.32 Washers as shown in illustration below. 5 2. etermine required mounting screw (M6 SHS or M4 PHMS) for fastening display to Mounting dapter. 3. Thread four (4) screws' into the 4-hole mounting pattern on the rear of display, leaving 5mm of thread exposed. Hang display on Mount by guiding screws into the corresponding slots and keyholes in the Mounting dapter. 4. Using the 3/16'' hex wrench (provided) for socket head screws or Phillips screwdriver (not provided) for pan head screws, tighten all mounting screws. Hang Upper SHS (2) in Slots or Keyholes Insert Lower SHS (2) in Keyholes djusting Tilt 1. Using a 1/2'' wrench on each end of the bolt, loosen the rear tilt bolt and tilt display to desired position. Note: It may be necessary to loosen the front tilt bolt slightly to allow the display to tilt. 2. With display at desired tilt, tighten the rear tilt bolt. Tighten front tilt bolt if necessary. djusting Swivel Tension 1. Remove plastic bolt cap from each end of swivel bolt (below). 2. Using a 1/2'' wrench on each end of the bolt, tighten or loosen bolt to achieve desired swivel tension. 3. 6 Routine Maintenance Periodically inspect all mounting hardware. Tighten or adjust as necessary for optimal operation and safety. leaning the Mounting ssembly 1. The mounting assembly may be cleaned with most mild, non-abrasive solutions commonly used in the hospital environment (e.g. diluted bleach, ammonia, or alcohol solutions). 2. The surface finish will be permanently damaged by strong chemicals and solvents such as acetone and trichloroethylene. 3. o not use steel wool or other abrasive material to clean the mounting assembly. 4. amage caused by the use of unapproved substances or processes will not be covered by warranty. We recommend that any cleaning solution be tested on a small area of the mounting assembly that is not visible to verify compatibility. 5. Never submerge or allow liquids to enter the mounting assemblies. Wipe any cleaning agents off the mounting assembly immediately using a water-dampened cloth. ry all mounting assemblies thoroughly after cleaning.
