To prevent electrical shock, disconnect electrical supply before installation or servicing. Compatible only with traditional, level 5 surface finishing, not self-leveling, PVA primer systems. Connect wires in housing 5 7/8" (149mm) 18 1/" (470mm) 8 7/8" (5mm) 1 1/8" (307mm) PLASTER PLATE CONTRACTOR 1. Install and cut drywall around housing. ADJUSTABLE GEARS HIDDEN BEHIND THE LAMP. 1. Adjust plaster flange frame and tighten wing nuts.. Connect the MR16 and LEDS wiring to the plaster plate. 3. Screw plaster plate into housing. 4. Test MR16 and LEDs. CONTRACTOR 1. ALIGNMENT NOTCH 1 1/8" (308mm) MUST BE FLUSH WITH JOIST 1: Use these dimensions when locating the center point of the aperture during the installation process. Align the fixture using a laser or a chalk line. NOTE: Drywall anchor screens may be removed, if the joist are less than 14 1/" apart. Refer to page 8 to shorten the hanger bars, : Hanger bars must align and remain flush with joist. C D 4 REMODEL NOTE: CUT TO MIDDLE OF JOIST. 3 3: After fixture is positioned, tighten all (10) screws on hanger bars. 4: After installation, pull on fixture to ensure there is no movement.

Make sure the wire nut connections are tight. Insert screws through drywall into anchor screen on fixture. H I CEILING 7 PLASTER FLANGE FRAME LOOSEN WINGNUTS TO ADJUST PLASTER FLANGE FRAME 8 7: Loosen (4) wing nuts and adjust plaster flange frame to be flush with drywall. All 4 corners MUST be exactly even with drywall. Plaster flange frame adjusts to accommodate 1/" (13mm) to 1 1/4" (3mm) ceiling 8: Use a straight edge or level and move plaster flange frame up or down to be exactly even with drywall ceiling. 4

5 J TIGHTEN WINGNUTS TO ADJUST PLASTER FLANGE FRAME 9 K LED QUICK CONNECTOR 9 USE A PEN TO TIGHTEN LOCKING RINGS. 10 LAMP LOCKING RING LOUVER AND LENS LOCKING RING SNOOT LAMP HOLDER 9: Tighten (4) wing nuts securely. 10: Assemble lamp holder fixture to MR16 socket. Use a pen to tighten locking rings into place. L M : Loosely attach plaster plate using all (4) screws. After all (4) screws are started, go back and tighten the screws securely. 1: Check to ensure that the plaster plate is flush and even with the drywall. 5

6 N O 15 MAKE SURE ALL LEDS ARE WORKING. MR16 HALOGEN ACCENT LIGHT (NO MR16 LED) MAKE SURE ALL LEDS ARE WORKING. 14 HANDS MUST BE CLEAN WHEN ADJUSTING FIXTURE 13: Turn on and test MR16 and LEDs to ensure they are properly installed. 14: To aim lamp, loosen pan lock, rotate and position the pan rotation ring. P Q OPEN SPACE ON RACK 16 GEAR COVER TOP CLIP HANDS MUST BE CLEAN WHEN ADJUSTING FIXTURE 15: Tilt and rotate MR16 as needed. When lamp is properly adjusted secure pan lock. BOTTOM CLIP 16: Measure the distance of the open space on the track. 17: Remove the protective film from the gear cover. 18: Cut the gear cover to fit the space if necessary. 6

DO NOT OVERLAP. 0: Secure by snapping in the two bottom clips of the gear cover first to the bottom edge, then snap in the top two clips to the top edge. Remove paint shield from plaster plate 0-60 minutes after painting. 7 6: Clean all excess paint from the aperture. 7: Wash hands and clean all drywall residue from inside aperture, with a clean damp towel. Electrician or lighting designer - ensure pan rotation ring is adjusted, locked in place, and the lamp is aimed properly. SHORTENING THE HANGER BAR (ONLY FOR JOISTS SPACED LESS THAN 14.5") X HOUSING Y HOUSING HANGER ARM HANGER ARM HANGER ARM 3 ANCHOR SCREEN 3 PHILLIPS SCREW 1: Remove the four Phillip screws on the housing to remove the two anchor screens, and put the screws back on. : Pull the hanger arms completely out of the housing. 3: Break the ends completely off hanger arms. 8
