Final expansion and curing of foam takes place while door is compressed between platens. 13 Performance Data Polyurethane Foam Core Doors 1. The polyurethane foam used in the Imperial door ia a rigid cellular plastic material with a crushing strength of 3,600 psf conforming to ASTM D1621, Procedure A. 2. The polyurethane core insulation properties are superior to other commercial materials. The U factor is 0.67 and the R factor is for an 18 gage door. 3. Acoustical properties test for sound transmission loss conducted by Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories indicates a sound transmission classification of 26 (18 gage steel face sheets were used). This test meets both ASTM E90 and ASA Z Swing/Stam and Twist tests have been conducted on prescribed testing apparatus in compliance with ANSI performance Test for Physical Endurance...the Imperial door has endured over 2 million open and close cycles (Level A ) without any delamination or breakdown (18 gage steel face sheets were used). 5. Density of the polyurethane foam used in the Imperial door exceeds 1.8 pcf conforming to ASTM D1622 test methods. 6. Recommended continuous use temperature range is from -200 F to F inclusive. 7. The polyurethane foam used in Imperial doors has been tested in accordance with the ANSI-ASTM Standard E84. The polyurethane foam has shown a flame-spread rating of less than 75 and a smoke-developed rating of less than 450. The polyurethane foam contains no ureaformaldehyde resins whatsoever. 8. The tensile strength of polyurethane foam to steel face sheets exceeds that of foam to foam in accordance with ASTM D1623. Tensile strength of the urethane foam in the Imperial door exceeds 35 psi
