1 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS JD STS 9860, 9760, 9660 oem (Large) big top The Crary Big Top capacity unloading auger mounts on an existing extension. Follow these instructions to properly install and transport this extension. If you are not sure of your combine weight limits, call your combine manufacturer for advice. Combine manufacturers will provide you with the maximum combine weight limits of their various models. WARNING Use of this product is at the owner's discretion. Increasing grain capacity may adversely affect center of gravity, stability, and controllability. Exceeding maximum combine weight limits can risk structural integrity and drive line components. Crary Industries does not assume any liabilities, or make any warranties regarding the performance or structure of the combine. See combine owner's/operator's manual for specific limitations, operating recommendations, and safety information. Shut off combine and remove key before installing the hopper extension. Make sure the combine is on a level surface. Engage parking brake. Be careful when working in the combine hopper. The sloped sides and sharp edges are dangerous and could cause serious injury. ATTACH FRONT, SIDE AND REAR PANELS 1. Locate the three holes in the top panel hinge (see Figure 1). The pivot hole has a 5/16" x 3" bolt with corresponding nut inserted in the hole. The lock pin hole has a quick release hitch pin inserted in the hole. The last hole is unused Align the outside of the panels of the Big Top extension with the JD panels on the combine as shown in Figure 2. Using the Big Top panel hinge as a template, drill holes in the existing JD panel stiffeners. Drill two holes on the left side of each panel: one for the lock pin and one for the pivot hole. Drill only one hole on the right side of each panel for the pivot (see Fig. 2). Place the extension corner panel weldment assembly on the JD panel of the Big Top. 3.

2 Attach CORNER PANEL WELDMENTS As shown in Figure 5, two holes exist in the John Deere panel and two holes need to be drilled. 1. Install the panel mounting plate to the corner panel weldment using (1) 5/16"x 3" bolt and nut for each mounting plate. 2. Place the extension corner panel weldment assembly on the JD panel of the Big Top. 3. Align the holes on the panel mounting plate with the JD panel and align the outside of the corner panel weldment assembly with the outside of the JD Big Top, as seen in Fig Mark and drill the hole for each of the panel mounting plates (see Figs. 4 and 5). Attach the panel mounting plate to the JD panel with 5/16" x 3/4" bolts and corresponding nuts. Repeat steps 1-5 for the three other corners.
