1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR A In just a few steps, we show you how to build your own goal wall and paint it perfectly. COMPILED BY

2 1 PREPARING Purchase the materials from the enclosed list. The DIY store should be able to cut the wood to size for the goal wall, feet and diagonal braces along with the 30 and 60 brackets as per the diagram. They may also be able to cut out the goal openings. Alternatively draw on the centre of the circle for the goal opening as per the diagram and using a pair of compasses, draw a circle for the opening. If you don t have a pair of compasses to hand, tie a piece of string around a small nail and attach a pencil to the other end, tap the nail gently into the centre point and then draw a circle with the correct radius of 160mm. Do the same for the second opening. Cut both openings out using the jigsaw (left image). If necessary, smooth the edges of the opening and the edges of all cut surfaces with the sandpaper (right image). Wipe all of the surfaces down with a clean microfibre cloth. All surfaces must be dry, dust-free and free from grease. Drill in the diagonal braces screw holes with small diameter, so that they can be screwed later with the goal wall and the feet. 2 PREPARING SPRAYING PROCESS Stir the white paint and dilute it in accordance with the manufacturer s specifications using water or solvent depending on the paint (left image above). Thoroughly stir the paint (right image above). Detach the spray gun from the turbine and unscrew the paint container. Align the suction tube forwards. This will ensure that the paint can be sprayed all the way down to the bottom when the goal target is raised on blocks. Fill the container and again, thoroughly stir the paint (left image down). Screw the container back on and click the spray attachment onto the turbine. Carry out a test spray onto a piece of scrap cardboard. The spray nozzle can be positioned in three different directions. A horizontal jet to work from top to bottom, vertical for right to left or for particularly intricate areas. The small wheel allows the quantity of paint to be steplessly adjusted (right image down).

3 DO IT YOURSELF! THE SPRAYING PROCESS We recommend using the round jet and a reduced paint volume to begin with to spray all of the uncoated edges of the goal wall, feet and supporting braces. Now switch to the flat jet, increase the paint volume and then spray the surface from a distance of around cm from the goal wall with slightly overlapping stripes (left image). At the end of each stripe, move the gun past the edge and only then change direction. This will prevent you from applying too much paint and causing drips at the edge. Tip: Since paint applied too thickly can cause drips, it is better to spray two thin coats. After spraying, allow the paint to dry in accordance with the manufacturer s instructions. Clean the spray attachment thoroughly (right image). If you have used water based paint clean the spray attachment with warm water and a drop of detergent. Flush fresh water through the nozzle unit. With solvent based paint, use a suitable solvent to clean the gun and please dispose of it responsibly. As an alternative to cleaning the gun between different paints consider a second spray attachment available as an accessory from DIY stores. MASK Once the paint is dry, the goal openings should be masked using tape for curves. Ensure that the tape is pressed down well so the paint can t flow behind it. Using a wider piece of masking tape, mask the outer edge of the goal wall. Using a pencil to mark how far in to mask can be useful. Again press the tape down firmly. THE SECOND SPRAYING PROCESS Now thoroughly stir the dark green paint, dilute it and pour it into the spray container. Carry out another spray test and select the spray setting for your preferred working direction. Proceed as you did when spraying the white paint. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly. Then remove the masking tapes. Clean the spray attachment thoroughly with water and solvent after use. SCREWING THE FEET Screw on the feet and diagonal braces.
