3 Product Specifications Over 40 years experience in aluminum fencing & railing. Standard & Custom ornamental fence. Five stage electrostatic paint process with 3 standard colors and special colors available. Meets or exceeds AAMA with 9/14/93 addendum. H-3H hardness. ALL fastners are stainless steel or aluminum psi yield strength for posts and horizontal members psi yield strength for pickets. Fully assembled fence sections snap together for fast installation. Welded gate frame (swing, sliding and cantilever types). Lifetime Warranty ALL fence designs are Engineered & Tested (Engineering sheets available upon request). 4 Our office hours are 7:30am - 3:30pm (EST) Monday - Friday Getting Started Open all containers and lay out parts. Check parts in box against packing slip to verify you have all items needed for assembly. NOTE: In the event that you find something missing, please notify us immediately so that we may assist you. Now is the time to consider your layout prior to installation and decide how you will place your standard (6 ) or cut sections. Do you want your cut sections (less than 6 ) at the end, both ends, in the middle or perhaps at either side of the gate? 5 Wall Attachment Assembly When starting or ending at a wall or existing wood post, slide fence castings onto the fence horizontals and attach to the wall or post. WALL OR POST Line Post Assembly Assemble post to fence section (below). Post is made up of one pre-punched (holes drilled) post channel and one pre-punched post plate. Using 1 screwes, attach channel part of the post to one fence section. Again, using 1 screws, attach pre-punched plate part of the post to the opposite side of the same fence section. Continue assembly of channel and plate to all fence sections in this manner. End Posts & Gate Posts are assembled the same way, except the plate part of the post is NOT pre-punched. 6 Corner Post Assembly When starting at a corner, take post channel and post plate labeled Corner and attach prepunched post channel to fence using 1 sheet metal screws (provided) (#1). Then snap post plate into post channel to form complete post (#2). Insert 3 screws (provided) through the corner post and into a second fence section form corner (#3) Post Channel 3 Screw Post Plate 1 2 Picket Screws 3 Important: Be sure in all cases that the picket screws in the fence horizontals face in the same direction. 7 Fence Section Assembly After your first fence section (or starter section), you will then be able to snap the post plate and post channel together very quickly. By adding the cast aluminum post cap, you have completed the assembly. 9 Gate Assembly TOP VIEW 3 WALL OR POST DAYLIGHT OPENING FOR 36 GATE 4 37½ 1: HINGE MUST BE INSTALLED WITH BOLT SIDE OF HINGE ON SAME SIDE OF GATE AS LATCH. 2: LATCH IS LOCKABLE WITH 2 KEYS INCLUDED. 3: GATE STOP. 4: U-FRAME GATE DESIGN REQUIRES 2 CLEARANCE FROM GROUND. 5: DIAGONAL BRACE REQUIRED ON GATES OVER 48 WIDE. 6: OPTIONAL MAGNA LATCH AVAILABLE FOR ALL POOL GATES. 10 Post Installation NOTE: CONCRETE FOOTINGS SHOULD EXTEND BELOW THE FROST LINE IN AREAS WHERE EXTREME GROUND FROST MAY BE A PROBLEM. IN SLAB / CORE DRILL DRILL MINIMUM 3½ DEEP HOLE INTO EXISTING SLAB. SET POST INTO HOLE AND FILL WITH HYDRAULIC CEMENT. 3½ IN GROUND DIG HOLE 18 DEEP. SET FENCE POST INTO HOLE. THEN DRIVE POST 6 INTO GROUND. THEN PLUM POST AND LEVEL RAIL. FILL HOLE MINIMUM HALFWAY WITH CONCRETE MIX. FILL REST OF HOLE WITH DIRT. Earth Concrete 24 EXTRUDED BASE INSTALL POST BASE TO CONCRETE SLAB OR WOOD DECK WITH 2 LAG BOLTS OR EXPANSION ANCHORS. 11 Installing up to a 45 angle SCREW GROOVE CUT POST 1 SCREWS HORIZONTAL RAIL 1: CENTER POST IN-BETWEEN THE ANGLE DESIRED. 1 2: SPLIT ANGLE ON RAIL (E.G. 45 = 2 X 22 2 ) AND CUT. 3: BORE OUT SCREW HOLE ON THE POST TO ACCOMPANY THE ANGLE OF THE SCREW. 4: ATTACH AS NORMAL. / CAUTION: Please check local building codes before installing, and ALWAYS Call Before You Dig!! 11

12 Stair Stepping Installation RE-USE SNAP PLATE OVERLAP TO COMPLETE POST ON TOP Attach with extruded base, welded base or use core drill application. (pg. 10) CUT OFF SNAP PLATE OVERLAP Uneven Ground Installation NOTE: Our fence panels will RACK a total of 12 (inches) over the span of one panel.
