2 SUPER MAXBIT The SUPER MAXBIT gives stbility when drilling collpsing overburden formtions. This is n dvnced technology compred to the other eccentric drilling methods. It consists of two to three wings connected to the Down The Hole Hmmer. The bit hed re extendble/retrctble when the drill string rottes in the forwrd/reverse direction. Drilling nd csing re possible simultneously with the use of csing shoe. The SUPER MAXBIT hs following dvntges: High-speed drilling similr to stndrd DTH bit. Stright hole drilling. 4 TROUBLE SHOOTING Trouble Reson Solution Less hmmering. The bit does not rotte t ll. Cutting re not flushed out of the hole well. Csing pipes re not driven down. Air pressure is too low to work. (The hole is too deep tht cuses shortge of ir pressure) Just drilling through cly formtion. Drive sub is loosen.(in the thred) Snd or cly infiltrting into the hmmer. Cutting re reminning between driver sub nd bit wing. Cutting re sticking in bit blow hole. Drilling through frctured zone. Hit scrp iron. The bottom of the hole is filled with cuttings. Mchine torque is too low. Sticking through cve zone. Less ir compresor or ir volume. Just drillings through cly formtion. Cutting re stying inside the csing pipe. Drilling through crcky formtion tht leks out ir so much. Air leking from slited csing pipe. Brekge of the weld joint. Compressor should be replced with bigger one, or instll one more compressor nd ir receiver tnk. The frequent hole clening is necessry. Rotte in forwrd direction my screw down. Pull up csing pipe nd screw down, the drill strings with the driver sub properly. Wipe off snd or cly inside the hmmer. Flushing out cuttings enough. Flushing frequently. The bit should be operted with lower feed pressure. Pull up the drill strings, nd remove scrp iron by csing rotry bit. After tht,strt drilling with SUPER MAXBIT. Wter inside the csing pipe, nd cuttings should be flushed out esily. Mchine should be replced with bigger one. Pull up the drill strings nd csing pipe bout 20-30cm, then screw down slowly with hmmering. Compresor should be reprced with bigger one or instll one more compresor nd ir receiver tnk. The frequent hole clening is necessry. Wter inside the csing pipe nd cutting should be flushed out esily. Wter inside the csing pipe nd cutting should be flushed out esily. Before drilling, plugging up the slit of csing pipe by using tpe. Weld crefully so tht the weld on the inside of the csing pipe. Check the csing pipe is verticl nd is liner. Check tht ech weld is strigh nd smooth so tht the friction between the csing pipe nd hole wll is minimm. Brekge of the pin. The bit wings does not open. The bit wings does not close. The drill strings cn not be pulled out. Brekge of the thred joint. Knocking on the side pin by hmmering while the bit is not on the bottom. Hmmering in snd formtion. The bit wings is not on the bottom of the hole. Cly or mud hs instruded into the hole of the device. Ground condition is too sticky to open. The bit wings is not on the bottom of the hole. Cutting re sticking round the bit wings so much. The thickness of the weld inside of the csing pipes exceeds limittion. (>0.5mm=1/64") Never use threded joint csing pipe in deep hole. (more thn 20m) Keep the bit wings on the bottom of the hole. Feed nd ir pressure must be crefully wtched to keep the fce t the bit wing. Keep the bit wings on the bottom with higher feed pressure. Clen the holes of the device. Pull up the bit, (you should throw some smll grvel.) nd put smll mount of grvel into the hole to get some friction which is needed for extension. Keep the bit wings on the bottom with higher feed pressure. Flushing out cuting enough. Pull up the drill strings slowly with forwrd slow rottion crefully. Plese do not hurry to pull up, becuse the overweld of csing tubes cn be ground off by the device shoulder. So it my tke long time to do so. Welding Cshing pipe There is concve on the outside of the csing pipes which hs broken during drilling. In wter well drilling, sometimes rock or grvel will be pushed into slots of strner tht will cuse concve on the csing pipes. So crefull opertions re necessry. Grvel 3
