2 1 2 Thank your for purchasing from Little Cottage Co.! Now locate and review your packaging list and identify all construction materials. Quantities may vary by unit size. 3 4 To start with assembly locate the floor and the nest box floor as shown. The floor will be marked nest box. That is where the nest box floor will be fastened. Secure with 2 1/2 screws. Next locate the metal frames and wheels. 5 6 Front metal frame will be installed as the picture shows. Locate the screws for the frames and the hub caps for the wheels. 3 7 8 Insert Lags as shown with ratchet. Next install wheels Locate hub cap. Use hammer to tap on hub cap until it is tight Next flip floor on it s wheels. Floor is finished and ready for walls. Construction Manual Little Cottage Co. Page 2
4 13 14 Locate running gear handle and bolt as shown. Insert bolt through handle as shown Next locate the wall with cut out as shown. Install wall where nest box is Make sure wall is flush at each end as shown. Secure wall with 2 1/2 screws. Construction Manual Little Cottage Co. Page 3
5 19 20 Continue fastening wall as shown. Locate wall with vent hole Install wall with vent hole. Make sure each end is flush as shown Next secure with 2 1/2 screws. Make sure wall is against the floor as shown. Construction Manual Little Cottage Co. Page 4
6 25 26 If wall is against floor you can fasten it with 2 1/2 screws. Sidewalls are installed Locate gable wall as shown. Secure with 2 1/2 screw from 2x6 top plate into gable truss Have one guy on the outside pushing the wall in while the second guy is on the inside to secure with 2 1/2 screws. 7 31 32 Next locate the gable wall with door. Install as shown Secure with 2 1/2 screws as shown. Repeat from last picture Remove screw to open Adult door. Open Chicken Coop door. Construction Manual Little Cottage Co. Page 6
8 37 38 Next secure wall to floor with 2 1/2 screws. Use 1 1/4 screws and fasten every 8 around bottom of building on the outside as shown Fasten corners every 8 as shown. Next locate nesting box parts as shown Install side panel first and make sure it is flush on the inside as shown. Secure with 1 1/4 screw on the inside and outside. Next install panel as shown. 9 43 44 Secure with 2 1/2 screws. Fasten corners as shown with 1 1/4 screws Next locate the markings in the nest box as shown. Install nest box dividers as shown Secure with 1 1/4 screws. This is what it looks like when dividers are installed. Construction Manual Little Cottage Co. Page 8
10 49 50 Next install nest box lid. Secure hinges into wall with 1 1/4 black head screws. 3 screws per hinge Lid is complete. Locate door latch Install inside as shown and secure with 1 1/4 black head screws. Insert 1 1/4 blackhead screw on an angle. Construction Manual Little Cottage Co. Page 9
11 55 56 Next install latch on the outside as shown. Secure with 1 1/4 blackhead screws. On all corners Next install latch closure. Secure with 1 1/4 black head screws Latch is complete. Locate corners and install with 1 1/4 screws. Construction Manual Little Cottage Co. Page 10
12 61 62 Secure with 1 1/4 screws. Continue fastening corner Locate chicken ramp. Secure ramp with 2 1/4 as shown Locate roof trusses. Top plates will be marked trusses in black. Construction Manual Little Cottage Co. Page 11

Secure with 2 1/2 screws from underneath the top plate up into the truss as shown Also secure with 2 1/2 screws going from the truss into the top plate. Trusses are set Locate trim for fascia. 14 73 74 Next install roof sheeting. Fasten sheeting with 1 1/4 zinc screws Fasten with 1 1/4 zinc screws roughly 8 on center. Next install drip edge. make sure it is flush as shown Cut drip edge to length. Continue with drip edge as shown. Construction Manual Little Cottage Co. Page 13
15 79 80 Cut drip edge at peak. Next install starter strip Install shingles as shown. Install shingles in a staggered fashion as shown When you get to the end, cut off shingle that overhangs the roof as shown.
