4 COMPACT The CIDAN cut to length line model COMPACT is a fully automatic line and is supplied in a very compact construction for coil widths 1250 mm (49 ) or 1550 mm (61 ). No other manufacturer can beat the quality and accuracy of the cut and slit pieces in a line of this size. With this line, the productivity can be drastically increased by programming different lengths and pieces and the use of material will be optimized with much less scrap. System 3 The COMPACT has a straightening unit with 5 rolls and the cut to length is done by a motorized mechanical shear. The LineLink control system with a color touch screen gives you the possibility to store many programs as well as a library of coils. Decoiling, straightening, feeding and cut to length The COMPACT is prepared and can be fitted with a slitting unit and multiple slitting knives. System 4 Decoiling, straightening, feeding, slitting and cut to length The COMPACT will handle pre-painted sheets and other sensitive materials. As standard, the line is operated from the left side, but can be supplied in right side operation in order to satisfy the individual space requirements. 5 PROFI System 1 The CIDAN cut to length line model PROFI comes in 5 different System 2 Decoiling, feeding and cut to length + RCO systems made for coil widths 1250 mm (49 ) or 1550 mm (61 ). The PROFI is designed with heavy duty side frames for high demanding production. The PROFI can be supplied with a wide range of options in order to fulfill the demands of different customers. Decoiling, feeding, slitting and cut to length Cut to length is done by a heavy duty mechanical shear. System 3 The PROFI will handle pre-painted sheets and other sensitive materials, with the option of having the straightening rolls chromed which also minimizes scratches and marks on the surface. 6 TURBO System 3 The CIDAN cut to length line model TURBO comes in 2 different systems, made for coil widths 1250 mm (49 ) or 1550 mm (61 ). The TURBO is designed with 50 mm (2 ) heavy duty side frames for feeding, straightening, slitting (system 4) and cut to length. Decoiling, straightening, feeding and cut to length The rolls are gear driven and the heavy solid rolls and other parts have been dimensioned for high production at maximum capacity. System 4 + RCO The TURBO line has two sets of feeding rolls (one roll in each set is rubber coated) and seven straightening rolls as standard. Decoiling, straightening, feeding, slitting and cut to length The TURBO will handle pre-painted sheets and other sensitive materials with the option of having the straightening rolls chromed which minimizes scratches and marks on the surface. The TURBO system 4 can be used together with recoiling. 8 OPTIONS DEVICE FOR ADDING PROTECTIVE FOIL Device for adding protective foil on top side and / or lower side of the material (order separately). This device is equipped with a brake, in order to adjust the tension and is mainly used for sensitive material. SLITTING UNIT All our lines can be fitted with a slitting unit that consists of upper and lower rolling knives.the unit can be equipped with 1 8 pair of divided slitting knives (1-6 compact). The slitting unit can be activated or deactivated by moving the upper knives up or down via a handle. The divided slitting knives are easily unlocked with an Allen Key. The half-moon key is made of bronze to avoid scratching/marking of the shafts, when sliding and tightening the slitting knives. The slitting unit on PROFI and TURBO is suitable for trim cut. COMPACT PROFI AND TURBO The knives on our slitting units are easily adjusted and they all have two cutting edges to double the lifespan. The knives are made of high quality steel and they are precision grinded and hardened. Tolerance between the shafts and knives are 0.01 mm ( ) which guarantees accurate slitting. MINIMUM SLITTING WIDTHS ON CTL-LINES. COMPACT The minimum slitting width on COMPACT machines is > 100 mm because of the shape and size of the slitting knives. Trimcut is possible in full coil width and the minimum trim cut width will be approx. 25 mm on a COMPACT, because of the shape and size of the slitting knives. COMPACT SLITTING KNIVES PROFI & TURBO SLITTING KNIVES PROFI & TURBO The minimum width we can slit with our PROFI and TURBO machines is > 50 mm, because the slitting knives are in a special shape with a narrow cutting surface. Trimcut is possible in full coil width and the minimum width will be approx. 20 mm if the slitted part has to be cut in the CTL-Line. Smaller trim cuts has to be lead over the CTL shear unit and rewinded on a Unit Called Scrap Rewinder. 8
9 LineLink TOUCH SCREEN CONTROL All our coil processing units are equipped with the LineLink Control that has a 6 color touch screen that is very user friendly. The LineLink has a memory card where all parameters, programs and coils are stored. THE MANUAL OPERATION MODE IS USED FOR: Manual feeding of material in both directions Manual clean cut Choose coil from library Set length for single cut Choose language, metric/imperial and other regional settings THE AUTOMATIC OPERATION MODE IS USED FOR: Writing a program by selection of cutting length and quantity. Each program can have several lengths and quantities in combination. Single or automatic mode Storing of programs in a large memory bank Reverse function for cutting aluminium COIL LIBRARY Storing of different coils (own or customer related). Enter coil width, weight, length, color, quality, thickness etc. per coil. By entering the length of material in a coil, the automatic calculation processor will advise whether a coil has sufficient material for a certain program. BACKUP RESTORE This screen mode is used when doing back up of programs, parameters and coil library on a memory stick. 9

11 ROTOCOIL ROTOCOIL is a heavy duty motorized decoiler for 5 and 10 tons coils developed for high speed production. The ROTOCOIL communicates with the cut to length / slitting line, to ensure a smooth and fast production. The motor is frequency controlled and the decoiler can reach a maximum speed of 45 meters per minute. The CIDAN model ROTOCOIL decoiler is a unique innovation with an intelligent and clean design, where all the parts are placed inside the machine construction, in order to prevent any damages in heavy industrial environments. The hydraulic mandrel has four support plates to maintain a perfect round coil shape during expansion. The mandrel is equipped with hydraulic wedges to keep the coil tight to the mandrel during the whole decoiling process. The optical loop control sensor measures the distance from floor to the loop and makes sure the decoiler will start and stop decoiling smoothly. 12 ROTOCOIL WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL The wireless remote control is a unique solution to avoid cables and gives flexibility especially when changing and mounting coils. This unit controls the following movements: Coil wagon vertical movement (CW option) Coil wagon horizontal movement (CW option) Mandrel expansion Mandrel rotation Pressure arm PRESSURE ARM When working with heavy material, the pneumatic pressure arm is essential in making sure the coil stays closed. It also simplifies the changing and handling of the coils. COIL WAGON CW 5 AND CW 10 (OPTION) The hydraulic coil wagon makes the changing and handling of coils safe, easy and quick. The wagon is a very important feature as it will eliminate coil damage during fork lift or overhead crane loading and unloading. 13 STACKING SYSTEMS ST Our standard stacking systems are made for non-sensitive materials and comes in two different versions: 3 and 5 tons. Solutions for sensitive materials are available by customer request. The hydraulic scissor table moves downwards automatically, controlled by an optical sensor to follow the shearing process. The system includes adjustable side guides for better positioning of cut-off sheets. The entire cut to length line is mounted on linear guides and can be moved away from the stacking table in order to simplify the unload of the material. 14 RECOILING SYSTEMS RCO We offer 2 recoiling systems, 5 slits of sheet metal thickness of maximum 1.0 mm (20 ga) and 1.5 mm (16 ga). All systems are for maximum 5 tons recoiling capacity and coils widths 1250 mm and 1500 mm. All our systems are very compact and do not necessarily need a pit for the sheet loop. 16 RAPIDO The CIDAN model RAPIDO is a heavy built mechanical guillotine shear. It will cut material with thicknesses from minimum to maximum without any settings at all. This shear again proves our philosophy regarding the environment as it uses very little energy and has a very low noise level. 17 EVO The CIDAN model EVO is the strongest shear in CIDAN s shearing line. The EVO-series is a heavy built mechanical guillotine shear and is well equipped as standard, blade gap adjustment, sheet support that follows the sheet down during the cutting operation and flexible table rails is some of the standard features, including som nice to have s to match the requirements of demanding customers. The blade gap adjustment makes it possible to achieve the best cutting result in all kind of sheet thicknesses. The blade gap is set quickly and correctly via two handles and scales. The rail arrangements on the table can be combined to meet the customer s demands squaring arm and table extensions are available in different lengths with groove, tilting stops and scales. 18 SHEET HANDLING SYSTEMS When cutting thin materials the sheet must be supported during measuring. A sheet support system prevents the material from hanging down until it reaches the back gauge rail. Additionally, RAPIDO and EVO shears can be supplied with different systems to deliver the cut-off sheets to the front or to the rear of the machine. SHEET SUPPORT WITH RETURN PLATE Delivers the cut-off sheets to the front of the shear. The sheet support is pneumatically activated and different functions can be controlled by the CutLink control. 19 MEASURING SYSTEMS MANUAL BACK GAUGE Operated from the front side of the machine. Positioning via hand wheel and digital outread, 800 mm (31.5 ). PROGRAMMABLE BACK GAUGE CutLink This motorized back gauge is a fast and accurate positioning system, with many interesting features for easier handling of sheets, such as selection of position of the sheet support. Even the movement of the hold down beam can be controlled separately. MANUAL MODE Push on length measure and type in new position of back gauge. As soon as the dimension is acknowledged the back gauge will move to new position. The amount counter can be set to count upwards or downwards. When changing the length, the counter is reset. AUTOMATIC OPERATION In automatic operation it is possible to program a number of different dimensions and amounts, then they will be executed in a sequence. The program can contain 10 lines with different dimensions. To change values on length and dimension push on the text field and type in a new value. SQUARING ARM Squaring arm with or without T-grove for tilting stop Avaliable from 440 mm (17.3 ) to 3000 mm (118 ) for EVO, and 1000 mm (39.3 ) or 2500 mm (98.4 ) for RAPIDO.
