Podium components Podium is a new range of benches designed as a rationalisation and replacement to the previous Stansted, Harlow and Cambridge products.

1 Podium components Podium is a new range of benches designed as a rationalisation and replacement to the previous Stansted, Harlow and Cambridge products. Available in 2 bench widths, tops and legs are supplied as separate components for on-site assembly, with the legs able to be fixed at the ends of the bench, or inset. Podiums can be used as independent seats or as multiples to form continuous seating runs. The main features of the Podium range are: Reinforcement to all components for added strength 3 bench top styles in 2 widths Bench top with pre-fitted leg fixing points in 4 positions 5 standard colours (tops and legs can be contrasting) Polished top option Podium basic components & dimensions Ref: S Bench leg: 450mm wide Bench leg: 700mm wide Bench top: 2000mm long x 450mm wide Bench top: 2000mm long x 700mm wide

2 Variable fixing points The underside of the bench top is pre-fitted with connectors that enable the legs to be fitted at the ends or inset. 450 The 450mm wide legs can be used with the 700mm and the 450mm wide tops, whereas the 700mm wide legs are compatable only with the 700mm wide tops. For continuous runs of seating the inset fixing positions are set so that the legs are evenly spaced at 1m centres along the run. 4 Anti-skate Podium benches which may be vulnerable to abuse by skaters can be factory-fitted with anti-skate devices prior to despatch. The illustration below shows the standard setting out of anti-skate devices, which is designed to align with standard seating positions. Further devices can be added if required Podium with anti-skate 2 bars on each long side Our standard anti-skate fitting for the Podium range is a stainless steel bar with a welded stud, inset and permanently secured into drilled holes in the bench with an epoxy resin. Note: As benches are assembled on site, legs can be fitted at the ends or inset as preferred. Ref: S Installation Podium benches are supplied as separate components for on-site assembly. In addition to the concrete components, a fixing kit is supplied comprising studs to locate the bench top onto the legs and epoxy resin to permanently fix the joints. Providing the bench is installed level and given the extremely heavy weight of an assembled unit, Podiums are generally left as free-standing products, without the need for fixing into the ground. Selected faces of benches can be polished to reveal the mix and for this option a further 3 mixes are offered. Special mixes can be created to suit your specific requirement for larger volume production runs. Samples The swatches shown here are indicative only. Please contact us to obtain samples to ensure that you specify and order the appropriate colour mix and finish to suit your scheme.
