Installation of MagFloor 100 Prior to any placement of MagFloor panels, ensure the joists are sound, secure, level and clean

This will ensure good adhesion between the underside of panel and top of joist using the structural glue adhesive. Ensure safety is maintained at all times prior to the first run of panels being laid. It is recommended to place a stringline from the start point to the other side of the floor to ensure the panels will be laid in a straight line, and square to any adjoining walls. For ease of installation, and safety, we recommend that flooring panels be laid out, as a walk way platform. Ensure they are laid outside the installation zone. The floor is now ready for commencing installation.

Fuller Max Bond Pro: Is used to adhere the box spline joiners inside the main panel. Screw off at 200mm apart around the Perimeter of the panel. The large x mm class 3 galv or powder coated Batten screw is used to secure the flooring panel to the joists. Follow the fixing guidelines for placement of screws.

Once a bead has been applied to each joist, slowly lower the panel down into position. Secure the panel down with the large batten bugle screws. Next step is to install a box joiner.

Have the first panel already in a vertical position to be lowered onto the joist. This will avoid the adhesive from skinning over. Once a bead has been applied to each joist, slowly lower the panel down into position. Secure the panel down with the large batten bugle screws. Next step is to install a box joiner. It is recommended to have joiners pre-cut and ready to install. Whilst only long joiners will be sent to site, the installer is required to cut joiners to suit the shorter end of the panel. Cut enough lengths to get started. Place a 5mm bead of Max Bond Pro on the bottom lip of the floor panel, and a bead along the top of the joiner. Carefully align the joiner with the rebate opening in the floor panel and tap in. If a tight fit, we advise the use of a rubber mallet and gently tap the joiner into position. Once complete, you are ready to install the next panel across and so on. Once 2 panels are installed and secured down, using the collated screw gun, screw the box joiner to the panel.

We recommend to seek further advise and follow the instructions of the product to choose to apply to the floor. Ensure all surfaces are clean prior to applying any further adhesives, to maximise bonding to the MagRoc sheeting. If any penetrations are required through the panel, using a hole saw drill set you will be easily able to cut through. Ensure you do not cut through the floor joist below and cause any structural damage to the supporting structure below. A pilot hole is recommended if it is unknown where joist locations are below.

When MagFloor is being used on a project and load bearing walls are being applied above, it is recommended that a 70x45mm CCA timber be inserted into the side of the panel.

Please seek further advise from the project engineer to determine what loads are being applied to the floor from upper wall and roof loads.

This most times will occur around the perimeter of the building where a wall frame will be constructed above and roof load applied. Any internal, non load bearing walls can be directly placed on top of the MagFloor without any concerns. Wall frames can be secured down by using either 100mm batten bugle screws or 100mm roofing screws. The project engineer will be able to determine joist spacing, and any special tie down fixings by cross referencing to load and span tables associated with MagFloor test results. The use of MagFloor in your project will ensure you a very strong and highly thermally efficient floor. Compared to AAC or concrete floors, Magfloor places less stress on lower wall frames, but maximises the latest in innovative thermal technology! MagFloor It doesn't disappoint.
