11 step 1 drawer assembly - insert cams Cam bolt Place the cams into the large holes on the drawer sides, so that the arrow is facing the edge of the drawer side. Press cam bolts into the holes on the edge of the drawer sides. Do not turn the cams at this time. 11

12 step 2 drawer assembly - attach drawer bottom to drawer back finished side up paper 2. Press the drawer bottom (with the finished side up) into the grooves on the drawer back Paper overlays the slot, but it has a slot so drawer bottom inserts well. 12

13 step 3 drawer assembly - attach drawer sides finished side up x Drawer fastener Align holes at back of the drawer sides, left drawer side and right drawer side with the holes on the drawer back Make sure the groove on the drawer back is facing the inside of the drawer. Tap drawer fasteners into place with a hammer. 13

14 step 4 drawer assembly - attach drawer front The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened. ED 12:00 2:00 LOCKED Place the cam bolts on the drawer sides into the holes on the back of the drawer front. Tighten cams to the 2 o clock position. 14

15 step 5 drawer assembly - attach drawer knob ED x1 x Drawer knob screw Knob Use the drawer knob screw to attach the knob to the drawer front ED

16 step 6 drawer assembly - install panel clips 3,7" 90 IMPORTANT. The panel clips stabilize the drawer Panel clip ED Place the thin edge of the panel clips into the groove between the drawer bottom and right drawer side 00584, left drawer side 00585, drawer back and drawer front ED. Tighten the screws on the support clips but do not over tighten. 16

17 step 7 loft bed assembly - insert dowels Bottom Bottom Top x x1 Top Small dowel Glue 2. Place two drops of glue in each of the holes on the top edge of the headboard and footboard. Tap dowels into the holes. 17

18 step 8 loft bed assembly - install hinge plates x Hinge plate screw Hinge screw 2. Hinge plate Attach hinge plates to the headboard and footboard with the hinge plate screws. Install hinge screws into holes as shown on the top of the hinge plates. 18

19 step 9 loft bed assembly - install cross nuts and dowels x x CORRECT NOT CORRECT Large dowel Cross nut 2. Insert cross nuts into the holes near the ends of the side rails. Slot must face towards the end of the rail. Tap dowels into the smaller holes on the ends of the side rails. 19

20 step 10 loft bed assembly - insert cams and dowels SA J x x x6 Small dowel cam cam bolt Place the cams into the large holes on center support SA, so that the arrow is facing the edge of the panel. Press cam bolts into the holes on the edges of the center support SA and the base rail J. Do not turn the cams at this time. Insert small dowel into small holes on the ends of edges of the center support SA and the base rail J. 20

21 step 11 loft bed assembly - insert cams and dowels x2 IE UC x x x x14 Small dowel cam cam bolt Place the cams into the large holes on center shelf UC, divider and bottom panel IE, so that the arrow is facing the edge of the panel. Press cam bolts into the holes on the edges of center shelf UC, divider and bottom panel IE. Do not turn the cams at this time. Insert small dowel into small holes on the ends of edges of center shelf UC, divider and bottom panel IE. 21

22 step 12 loft bed assembly - attach hinges to doors W Hinge 2. Press hinge cups into the large holes on the doors. Drive the pre-attached screws into the holes on the door. x2 22

23 step 13 loft bed assembly - assemble center shelf to dividers UC 12:00 2:00 LOCKED The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened. 2. Place the center shelf UC between the dividers so that the cam bolts and dowels go into the holes. Tighten the cams to the 2 o clock position. 23

24 step 14 loft bed assembly - attach divider assembly to center support x1 SA UC Connector bolt Allen wrench 2. Place the holes on the center support SA, over the dowels on the dividers. Use allen wrench to drive the connector bolts through the center support SA, into the dividers. 24

25 step 15 loft bed assembly - attach shelf braces 4" SA x UC Shelf brace screw Shelf brace Measure 4 inches from the front of the center shelf UC. Use the shelf bracket to determine the hole locations. Use an awl, nail or drill to start a pilot hole for the screws. Use shelf brace screws to attach the bracket. 25

26 step 16 loft bed assembly - attach two bottom panels IE UC IE SA 12:00 2:00 LOCKED The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened. 2. Press bottom panels IE onto the dividers so that the cam bolts and dowels go into the holes. Tighten the cams to the 2 o clock position. 26

27 step 17 loft bed assembly - attach base rail J IE UC SA IE Press dowels on the base rail J, into the holes on the bottom panels IE. 27

28 step 18 loft bed assembly - attach side rail J IE UC SA IE LOCKED 2:00 12:00 The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened. 2. Press side rail onto the dividers so that the cam bolts go into the holes. Tighten the cams to the 2 o clock position. 28

29 step 19 loft bed assembly - attach headboard and footboard LOCKED 2:00 12:00 The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened x SA Bolt IE UC Allen wrench Turn the assembly over, so that the base rail J, is on the floor. Press headboard and footboard 76278, onto cam bolts and dowels on the center support SA and the base rail J. Using 2 people, place the remaining side rail between the headboard 76277, and footboard Use the allen wrench and bolts to secure headboard 76277, and footboard 76278, to the side rails. Tighten the cams to the 2 o clock position. J IE 29

30 step 20 loft bed assembly - install floor glides SA IE UC IE J x8 Floor glide Nail the floor glides onto the bottom edges of the headboard 76277, footboard 76278, base rail J and center support SA. 30

31 step 21 loft bed assembly - attach top caps x1 IE UC Glue Place two drops of glue into the holes on the two top caps Press or tap the top caps 76279, into place. Do not use a hammer, as this will damage the surface. J IE 31

32 step 22 loft bed assembly - install shelves T UC T x8 IE SA J Shelf support 2. Place shelf supports into the holes at the sides of the door compartments. The barbed part of the support goes into these holes. Place the shelves onto the supports, making sure that the pin on the support goes into the shelf. 32

33 step 23 loft bed assembly - attach doors W T SA IE UC Slide the pivoting part of the two hinges over the hinge plates. Tighten the screw on the hinge plate until the door is supported by the hinges. The door can be adjusted in and out by pulling or pushing the door then retightening this screw. 2. To adjust the door hinges up and down : Loosen the two large screws on the hinge plate to adjust the door up and down, then retighten. 3. To adjust the doors left or right, rotate the small screw on the hinge in or out. W 33

34 step 24 loft bed assembly - attach door knobs and bumpers T x x x6 W IE UC W Door bumper Door knob screw Knob 2. Pass the drawer knob screw through the door then into the knob and tighten. Peel the door bumpers off the backing sheet and place them at the bottom of the edge of the dividers. 34

35 step 25 loft bed assembly - install drawer glides x x2 Small system screw W UC SA W J Drawer glide Place a small system screw into the hole second from the back on the drawer glide, then into the hole on the back of the divider. Note: Oil is on slide for lubrication. Use care in handling, so that lubricant is not transferred to the product. 35

36 step 26 loft bed assembly - install small system screw into front of drawer glide W UC W x2 J Small system screw 2. Move the front of the glide until you can see a drilled hole through the slot on the glide. Use a small system screw to attach the front of the glide. 36

37 step 27 loft bed assembly - install drawer glide screw x2 W ED UC W J Machine screw Slide the groove on the drawer sides over the drawer glide. Pull the glide forward until the threaded hole on the glide aligns with the hole in the drawer side. Attach the machine screw from inside the drawer box into the drawer glide. 37

38 step 28 loft bed assembly - install bed slat supports x x2 Large system screw W UC ED W Bed slat support Use large system screws to attach the bed slat support rail into the bed side rails. J 38

39 step 29 loft bed assembly - install brace x x x1 Nut Machine screw W UC ED W Brace 2. Place machine screw through holes on the slat supports and into holes on the end of the brace as shown. Thread the nuts onto the machine screw from below and tighten with a wrench and screwdriver. J 39

40 step 30 loft bed assembly - install bed slats and corner brackets Fabric band down Nut W UC W ED Machine screw Corner bracket 2. Insert machine screw through the corner brackets and into the holes in the bed slat support rail. Thread the nuts onto the bolts from below, and tighten with a wrench and screwdriver. SA J 40
