3 DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS FOR HAND ASSEMBLED AND HAND WOVEN GRILLES. * The maximum size for hand assembled and hand woven grilles is 700 x 1200mm. * Ensure you have provided a space allowance around the grille to allow it to fit into the rebate. * When rosettes are specified, they are not placed within 20mm of the grille edge to allow for fixing into a rebate. * The thickness of hand assembled grilles is about 3.5 to 4mm composed of 3mm solid brass square rod plus either 0.5m for fine mesh or 1mm for course mesh. * Hand assembled grilles are fixed together with plain pins or rosettes on pins which present to the front side. On the rear these are bent over and secure the mesh. * Hand assembled and hand-woven grilles are custom made to specfic size and cannot be cut or trimmed in size. * Perforated sheets purchased as a full 660mm x 1000mm sheet will have a salvage edge around the perimeter. * Backing meshes may not exactly match the grille finish for all finishes as different brass materials respond differently to the finishing process.
