I do not believe the city or I or St Paul's Episcopal church want to see this happen. I am trying to get this house back to its grandeur and as close to original state as soon as possible. With regards to the front porch ; the iron hand railing leading up the steps will be taken down, sanded, repainted and put back up. The columns and balustrade will be replaced with identical products to match the same historical architecture. Your packets had pictures of the columns and balustrade for reference. In regard to the deterioration of some of the brick foundation, the photo provided is just more proof that the existing gutter system has not been able to provide proper flow and has contributed to this deterioration in parts of the foundation. I hope this addresses any concerns you had concerning the work to be done. I am getting ready to spend a tremendous amount of money to bring the Pepper McClung house back to its original grandeur and my intentions are exactly that.
