3 BATHSTORE ACRYLIC BATH PANEL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FRONT PANEL Secure the metal clamps to the wooden blocks underneath the bath rim. Place bath in final position. 4 RECOMMENDED METHOD FOR INSTALLATION OF ACRYLIC BATHS Place the bath in position to determine height, water and soil requirements Screw a batten of 2 by 1 treated timber to the wall horizontally to support the bath rim. This ensures that the bath will remain stable and the rim cannot flex. 4 Place the bath back into position. Attach all water and waste connections. > 40mm When installing the bath panels, remember to install the floor fixed L brackets so as to prevent the bottom of the panel being kicked in. See section 4, 5 and 6 on previous page. Screw another 2 by 1 treated timber batten vertically onto the wall, clamping the bath to the wall. This batten should be at least 40mm in from the corner of the bath. This batten will provide additional rim support. This should be done on both corners to securely hold the bath in place. From the inside of the bath place the foam and face plate over the bath hole and screw on the nut, finally screw on the cover. Prepare the hose by sliding on the retaining nut, clear washer, rubber washer, finally push the O ring into position 25mm from the end (see detail). Push the hose assembly up into the housing and hand tighten the nut. O RING COVER Prepare the assembly by pushing the O ring onto the nut. Push the rubber seal onto the housing, and hold the unit in position from the outside of the bath. From the inside of the bath place the base ring over the bath hole, if the hole is to small, snap off one of the lugs with a pair of long nose pliers. Slide the insert and body into the base ring and screw on the nut, finally screw on the cover. Push the hose onto the housing making sure that the 2 x O rings are in position within the hose. Finally connect up the inlet which can be positioned either side of the housing. An extra inlet elbow is supplied were dual feed supply is required, remove the blanking socket as required. 11 Demi Seat Installation Instruction Please give the manual to the end user. Please read the manual thoroughly before installation. 1 Bolt 2 washer nut Bolts (2), Washers (2), Nuts (2) are supplied. Push the 2 bolts into the slide track at the end of the seat. 3 4 Insert the 2 bolts into fixing holes of the pan. Adjust the seat so that it fits well. 5 6 Underneath the pan attach the washers and nuts. Once the seat and pan match, fully tighten the nut.

Do not use longer screws to fit the leg frame as they could pierce the bath. Suggest 542mm for Freedom bath. 16 Recommended method for installation of Acrylic baths (for Freedom baths refer to the instructions supplied with the bath) Place the bath in position to determine height, water and soil requirements > 40mm Screw a batten of 2" by 1" treated timber to the wall horizontally 2 mm below the final resting point of the rim. This will support the rim while allowing some movement which will occur when the bath is filled with water. 4 Place the bath back into position. Attach all water and waste connections. Screw another 2 by 1 treated timber batten vertically onto the wall, clamping the bath to the wall. This batten should be at least 40mm in from the corner of the bath. This batten will provide additional rim support. This should be done on both corners to securely hold the bath in place. Acrylic baths will flex when filled with water, so it is important that your bath is installed to allow for some movement. The weight of the bath should be taken by the feet and not battens. Battens are a good way of supporting the rim of a bath, but can cause stress points. They should not be physically attached to the blocks underneath the bath, and ideally there should be a small gap between the blocks and battens. When installing the bath panels, remember to install the floor fixed L brackets so as to prevent the bottom of the panel being kicked in. See section 4, 5 and 6 on previous page. Care And Maintenance If cared for well your new bath will last for many years. Here are some do's and don'ts (please leave with the end user): Do: Keep it clean using a mild detergent and a soft cloth Don't: Use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners Do: Repair scratches using a bath rubber or acrylic repair system Don't: Allow hair dyes or other colourants to come into contact with the bath Don't: Use the rim of the bath as a step, it can be dangerous, and could damage the bath.
