Product Introduction MRac Ground Terrace VI(GT VI) is a ground solar PV mounting system developed from MRac Ground Terrace V(GT V),which can be applied to the installations of middle-large ground solar PV plant. Please read this Installation Guide thoroughly before installing the MRac Ground Terrace VI Mounting System. This Guide offers the planning and installation instruction for MRac Ground Terrace VI Mounting System. MRac Ground Terrace VI Mounting System, when installed in accordance with this guide, will be structurally adequate and will meet the local standards. During installation, please be sure to observe the appropriate safety regulations and please pay attention to the relevant regulations of your local region. Please check that you are using the current version of the installation manual by contact Mibet Energy by mail on sales@mbt-energy.com, or your local representative. The installer is solely responsible for: Complying with all applicable local or national building codes, including any that may supersede this manual; Ensuring that MRac and other products are appropriate for the particular installation and the installation environment; Using only MRac parts and installers-supplied parted as specified by MRac(Substitution of parts may void the warranty and invalidate the letter of certification on page 2); How to recycle: According to the local relative statute; How to disassemble: Countermove with installation; Ensure that there are no less than two professional workers in panel installation; Ensure the installation of relative electrical equipment is performance by professional electrician. 5 3. Installation Instruction 3.1 Unit Installation Locate piling spot and set out strings by laser rangefinder for ground screws according to solution drawing. Adjust the pile driver on the staked spots to keep it vertical to horizontal line by level bar or plummets before piling the ground screws. (keep the centers of the ground screws in the same elevation as accurate as possible on vertical and horizontal direction) a. If the terrace of installation site is with slopes like picture1, reduce the depth of piling ground screws or using shorter ground screws to keep all the flange plates on the same horizontal level. Picture1 Picture 2 b. if the terrace of installation site is with slopes like picture2, increase the depth of piling ground screws or 5

6 using longer ground screws. Xiamen Mibet New Energy Co., Ltd If rocks, trucks or other barriers were found underground that will hinder the piling work, two ground screws of pre-assemble support should be moved properly horizontally to avoid those barriers (the allowed maximum distance of two ground screws in 4 meters). But if the sizes of barriers are too large, it is suggested to dig out the barriers first and then adopt concrete base to replace ground screws because of the loosening of soil. 6

7 3.1.4 Install Back Support and Front Support on Back Support the flange of Ground Screw and adjust the dimension according to the design. Use M14*45 Front Support bolts to fix the support parts on the ground screw (recommended torque force is 60 N.m ). 14*45 Bolts Loosen the pre-locking M12*95 Hexagon Bolt Kit with Corrugated gasket on the base and M12*90 Bolts on T Jointer, and connect the Side Support (55*55 Square Tube) with the base by Hexagon Bolt Kit with Corrugated gasket. Side Support (55*55 Square Tube) M12*90 Bolts Notes: a. the terrace could erase the error of piling ground screw including 60mm front or back error and 45mm up or down error. The long hole on the flange of M12*95 Hexagon Bolt Kit with Corrugated gasket 7

8 ground screw can adjust 30mm in right or left direction. b. Corrugated gasket should be tight with the corrugated surface to prevent the slip of support. c. After adjustment, all the bolts should be locked tightly (Locking torque 40N.m) Repeat the above steps. In accordance with the planning drawings, install all the brackets. When installing, please use laser rangefinder (or pull a nylon thread) to ensure all base at the same straight line (If make errors, adjusted by the Front and Back Support.) 3.2 The Installation of Rails Please see the installation of Cross Module as showed, the Inter Clamp Kit, End Clamp Kit and C Clamp Kit are all installed like this Before install Rails onto the Pre-assembled Rail Splice for Rail 8

9 Support, please check whether the Rail is long enough. If not, please use Splice for Rail (with 16 self-tapping screw, 8 for each side) for connection. We Strongly recommend not extending it above the Pre-Assembled support Loosen C Clamp Kit of T Jointer Kit, and then place the Rails according to C Clamp Kit placed on T Jointer Kit. Then lock the rail tightly through C Clamp (Locking torque10n.m). According to the dimension of the drawings, before installing the rail, mark from upper surface of Rail to the edge of T Jointer Kit by color pen in order to install Rails easily. 9

10 3.2.4 a. Place Rail 60 above the Rail 105 (Picture1 ) (When installing the long array, we advise arrange 3-4 people in each group for installation); b. Measure the Positioning cantilever length by measuring tape, and then match it to the design length. c. Fix the Rail 60 onto the Rail 105 by C Claimp Kit, fasten the M8 Inner Hexagon Bolt with 6MM spanner (Locking torque 10N.m). ( Picture 2) Picture1 Picture 2 10

11 3.2.5 Continue the installation of the rest rails following the size of design drawing as above steps. (Confirm the distance between two rails, according to the length of the modules, and please pre-lock the C Clamp Kit.) If there are strengthening side supports or inverters/hanger junction boxes in the back of the array in design, please install these onto support leg after the main body of brackets have been installed. a. Pre-lock the T Bolt kit onto the strip-shaped holes of back side support first (Picture 1). b. Put the head of T Bolt into the T-shaped slot of back support and rotate it (Picture 2). c. Fix the T-bolts kit according to the location of design Picture 1 Picture 2 11

12 (Picture 3). At the same time, install the T Bolt Kit in other location. The overall picture shows in Picture 4. Picture Installations the panels a. Install the panels on relevant location on Rail 60. Place the first panel (the downside panels of the first column) on the Beam according to the design and ensure the length (from Rail 60 to the edge of Rail 105) match to design value. Then fix them with Inter Clamp Kit and Wide End Clamp Kit (Recommended torque force is 10N.m). Picture 4 12

13 b. Place the Second Panel (the upside panels of the first column) on the Rail 60 like the above steps. Then fix it with the Inter Clamp Kit (Recommended torque force is 15N.m). Installation of End Clamp c. Install the Fifth Panel (the downside panel of the second column) as a/b step did. Installation of Inter Clamp Kit d. According to the instructions above, install the rest solar panels. The first column 13

14 3.3.2 After installation has been completed, please check and ensure that all the bolts are fastened totally. Finally, put the End Cap into Rail 60 and Rail 105. The second column 14

15 4. 15 year limited Product Warranty, 5 year limited Finish Warranty Mibet (Xiamen) New Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter as Mibet Energy ) warrants to the original purchaser ( NSEW Trading Pty Ltd. ) of products that it manufactures ( Solar PV Mounting Systems ) at the original installation site that the Product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of fifteen (15) years, except for the under normal atmospheric conditions for a period of five (5) years, from the earlier of 1). The date the installation of the Product is completed, or 2). 30 days after the purchase of Product by the original Purchaser ( Finish Warranty ). The Finish Warranty does not apply to any foreign residue deposited on the finish. All installations in corrosive atmospheric conditions are excluded. The Finish Warranty is VOID if the practices specified by AAMA 609 & Cleaning and Maintenance for Architecturally Finished Aluminum ( are not followed by Purchaser. This Warranty does not cover damage to the Product that occurs during its shipment, storage, or installation. This Warranty shall be VOID if installation of the Product is not performed in accordance with Mibet s written installation instructions, or if the Product has been modified, repaired, or reworked in a manner not previously authorized by Mibet IN WRITING, or if the Product is installed in an environment for which it was not designed. Mibet shall not be liable for consequential, contingent or incidental damages arising out of the use of the Product by Purchaser under any circumstances. If within the specified Warranty periods the Product shall be reasonably proven to be defective, then Mibet shall repair or replace the defective Product, or any part thereof, in Mibet s sole discretion. Such repair or replacement shall completely satisfy and discharge all of Mibet s liability with respect to this limited Warranty. Under no circumstances shall Mibet be liable for special, indirect or consequential damages arising out of or related to use by Purchaser of the Product. In addition to our Warranty against Defects, the Frame also comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Consumer Guarantees). In the event that the Frame fails to satisfy a Consumer Guarantee, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the Frame repaired or replaced if the Frame fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Please note that in addition to the rights and remedies set out in this 15

16 document, you may also have other rights and remedies available to you under the law. *Manufacturers of related items, such as PV modules and flashings, may provide written warranties of their own. Mibet s limited Warranty covers only its Product, and not any related items. Making a claim If you believe that the Frame is defective and you are an End-User, you may either make a claim against the installer or builder from whom you purchased the Frame or you may make a claim against us directly. In order to make a claim against us, you must post, fax or us a notice, using the contact details set out below. In your notice you must provide: details of why you believe the Frame is defective; a copy of your invoice, receipt or any other document which provides proof of purchase; Details of any expenses you have incurred in making your claim; and details of how we should contact you. Within a reasonable time after receipt of your claim we will contact you to arrange a time to attend the premises at which the Frame is located. Jurisdiction Our Warranty against Defects is to be construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria and any disputes will be determined by the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
