The system can also be delivered as high effective MILLTURN machines. The SwedTurn system offers modular turning machines with an advanced Sinumerik 840D control system. The machines are constructed and developed to achieve high demands towards effective machining, great accuracy and repeatability. The machines are built to be easy controlled, with a simple access to the workpiece and a smooth executed maintenance. CUSTOMIZE YOUR MACHINE TO YOUR REQUIREMENTS All of the SMT turning machines can be provided with a great amount of extra equipment - or modules as we call them. To mention a few, controlled tailstock, tool drive, C-axis, Y-axis, counter spindle, measure probe for tools and detail measurement, tool change robot (ATC), workpiece robot (CPC), conveyors, automation etc. Below you find a quick compilation: AUTOMATION EXPANDS TURNING SMT offers complete automation solutions for both workpiece handling and tool robots. Our turning machines together with the SIEMENS controller will provide you with a total system that insure that every workpiece is finalized in time and with correct dimensions. CPC GANTRY WORKPIECE ROBOT 1-200KG SMTs own high effective gantry robot handles workpieces with length up to 2500mm and diameters up to 600mm. Of course also lighter and smaller workpieces. This is the robot for you that are searching for a long service-life solution. ATC TOOL ROBOT WITH MAGAZINE SMTs tool changer robot is especially developed for the ST turning machines and are well suited for processes where large chucking details are machined and multiple internal tool bars are used. High repetition accuracy, it can handle tool bars with length up to 1000mm and a weight of 100kg. The tool magazine contains as standard 37 or 74 tools. Also with great milling specifications.

Contact us for more info. TOOL CARRIER As standard our machines are equipped with one Sauter turret with 12 tool position VDI clamping. We also supply other kind of tool carriers, with up to 16 tool positions, BMT clamping system, milling units with full B- and Y-axis etcetera. Contact us for more info. To all SMT machines we have flexible solutions to provide your machine with an extra slide and tool carrier number 2, which will amend the machine to a 4-axis turning machine. The last turret is equipped after the customer demands. TAILSTOCK / COUNTER SPINDLE The SMT base machine is delivered with a standard hydraulic tailstock. Powered by a hydraulic cylinder and as addition it is possible to get ultrasound transducer for high precision positioning. The counter spindle is applied as a module to the machine when you demand to finalize the machining without extra chucking. Delivered with various power and speed ranges. HEADSTOCK / C-AXIS / SPINDLE BRAKES All SMT machines is delivered with a standard spindle orientation of ±5. When your production process requires even greater accuracy, we add our C-axis module. Consisting of an AC-motor and a hydraulic mechanism which automatic put in the C-axis drive when there is a commando from the controller. A very exactly C-axis with positioning accuracy of ±0,03.
