3 3 Game Masters need quality maps for their miniatures. DramaScape is committed to bringing Game Masters the maps they need. This map product is a full-color, 42 x 30 inch, three-story keep surrounded by a moat. DramaScape map products are designed to be compatible with both square and hex-based games and this map product includes both types of overlays. Sometimes you just need an epic castle battle. Whether your Game Master characters are defending the castle from an assault by the Player Characters or your Game Master characters are trying to overrun the castle defended by the Player Characters, you need a castle map to place your Game Master Characters and the Player Character s forces. This product contains three different maps, an external overhead view of the castle, an internal view of the second floor, and an internal view of the ground floor. This is a great product for excellent battles and encounters both outside and inside a castle s walls. For the external defense, you have a moat surrounding the castle. The castle has four corner towers, as well as two smaller towers on top of the gatehouse. Each tower has a trapdoor leading to the second floor. There is plenty of space to put archers on top of towers and along the castle high walls, or even small siege weapons such as catapults, ballista, or cannons on top of the four corner towers or on top the gatehouse. Whatever types of defenses you or the Player Characters can come up with. The middle floor includes two small privies in the northwest and northeast towers. These towers lead to the main northeast soldier barracks, as well as the commander s sleeping quarters in the middle. Off duty guards relax playing poker at a small table in the northwest barracks. The southwest and southeast towers have storage rooms filled with crates and barrels. This middle section of the gatehouse includes the wheels that control the opening and closing of both the gate and drawbridge. For internal defense, the bottom section of the gatehouse has four arrow slits/murder holes, perfect for surprise archers or for pouring out boiling hot oil. The courtyard has stables and wagons, for quick cavalrymen exit to defend the surrounding countryside. The courtyard has a small, locked storage area for ladders, barrels, chests, etc, and also contains the well. It is locked to keep the well from being contaminated, if an enemy spy were to sneak into the castle to try to poison the well. The inner keep begins with a long hallway, sure to be one of the last lines of defense. To the left is a meeting room with tables and chairs, as well as the commander s war room with his desk and chair. To the right is a mess hall. In the northwest tower bottom is a small kitchen. In the northeast tower bottom is a small storage area filled with barrels of mead and stored food. In the southwest and southeast tower bottoms are prison cells for captured criminals and enemy soldiers.
