2 Brazing Technology COPPER PHOSPHORUS ALLOYS Copper phosphorus alloys with or without silver for all sectors, available in different types of profiles, such has rods, plates, strips, wires. SILVER BRAZING ALLOYS Cadmium-free silver brazing alloys and tri-metal alloys for the entire industry, as well as several special alloys in the form of rods, strips, rings and various preforms. COATED RODS Flux coated rods with different ratios having regard to the technology used for brazing and fusion technical parameters. BRAZING FLUXES Brazing Fluxes in powder, paste and liquid in accordance with all types of alloys or brazing technology. 2

3 Copper Phosphorus Alloys This group includes copper-phosphorus alloys based filler metals that are self-fluxing on copper due its phosphorus content. Because of this property, it is possible to eliminate the necessary steps to flux before brazing process, saving time and money. These filler metals are widely used in the air conditioning and plumbing industries. It is not recommended for ferrous or nickel based materials because the joint will become brittle. The copper phosphorus alloys can have silver content from 2% up to 18%. The percentage of silver and phosphorus changes the melt and flow characteristics of the filler metal. All these alloys are available in wire, rod, powder, paste and preformed rings. Some alloys are also available in strip. 4 Silver Brazing Alloys This group of alloys is in accordance with the new environmental rules and they substitute the group of alloys with cadmium. These alloys are particularly suitable for low temperature brazing of all kind of materials, such as copper/stainless steel/ steel, nickels and other materials. This type of brazing joints allows high mechanical strength, ductility and plasticity. They are indeed the future of brazing procedures, according to new environmental legislation. 5 Brazing Fluxes Our fluxes were developed according to the new environmental rules of Low borax, fulfilling the most rigorous requirements of the market. They are developed in accordance with special features for a good brazing process: Coverage effect - protection against oxidation; Agglomerating effect - agglutination of oxides during the melting process; Cleaning effect - removal of the oxides across the brazing joint easing the capillary action; Capillary effect - increase of capillary characteristics promoting a full joint coverage.
