Added to that was Stuart's family holiday film and discussion, and the group shoot film: Cleaner Wrasse... I think everyone's quality is improving and it showcases what we are all about here at N.V.M.

2 From the President s Desk Just a Reminder NVM Membership renewals are due next month April open competition attracted a healthy 9 films on interesting and diverse themes. I was please to see so many of our club mates producing such watchable and polished short films. Added to that was Stuart's family holiday film and discussion, and the group shoot film: Cleaner Wrasse... I think everyone's quality is improving and it showcases what we are all about here at N.V.M. Congratulations to Robert for his 1st placed film on 'Stink Horns'. I haven't seen one from Robert for quite some time and he certainly nailed it. Well done. And after the competition its not the end for your film. If you have uploaded your film on Vimeo or YouTube, just click on the film's link then copy and paste into an to Geoff or Ian and they will be kind enough to share your film on our club's web site. If you look at our Facebook page you'll see that it is dynamic and people are watching and following our films. Terry Farrelly's very atmospheric film INVICTUS is now up and running on the home page and if you missed the meeting - check it out. Its certainly worth a look! No competition in May but we are hoping for some interesting discussions. Mansell will relate how he "Shot a Prime Minister!", Geoff will discuss Pocket Film Making, Graham will screen and discuss his "History of Australian Motoring" and Ian will continue with his well received talk on free software. You'll recall Ian spoke about the free transcoding software 'Handbrake'. Amanda was on hand calling up the various screen shots that Ian required and it all stacked up to be a very informative presentation. Well done team! And speaking of presentations - our committee have been presenting some of their favourite short films in the 'Film Of The Month' presentation for a while now and we are looking for a few volunteers to bring along some more and discuss. Outliner [Not publicly available] A simple outlining tool for quickly writing out and organizing story beats. Break story as fast as you can think. Pitch outlines with presentation and pictures. Breakdown every unique location, shot setup, and everything needed to make the movie. Quickly budget and plan out a shoot. 6. Assistant Director [In development] This is a tool designed to be used by everyone on the set. Based on Producer's breakdown and schedule, everyone will know what shots are needed for the day, specifically what is being shot currently, and what is needed for the shot. It manages ingestion of shots to match against storyboards for coverage and continuity. It also integrates with a wearable hardware device so that crew mark themselves ready for takes. Fast and Simple Storyboarder is designed to be simple. We included the tools you need to board fast and removed everything you don't need. 6 simple drawing tools Light pencil for roughing, Hard Pencil for fine lines, Pen for most work, Brush to tone, Note Pen to write notes, and Eraser!

13 Add boards with a click There s no friction. Add a board. Draw. Add another. Draw. Duplicate. Copy. Paste. Rearrange. There is nothing stopping you. Enter dialogue and action Add metadata for a board on the right panel. You can also enter timing information and shot type. For everything else, just edit in Photoshop. Click edit in Photoshop Draw your roughs and do layout in Storyboarder. If you need more control, just click the edit in photoshop button Edit in Photoshop and save The board will open up in Photoshop. Just edit as you normally would.
