2 ABOUT THE SAN JUAN BAUTISTA HISPANIC FESTIVAL Thank you for taking time to review this sponsorship proposal for the 35th Annual San Juan Bautista Hispanic Festival scheduled for: Wednesday, July 25 th - Saturday, July 28 th Since 1983, the San Juan Bautista Hispanic Festival has brought musicians both local and nationally known here to Lancaster County. Now in our 35 th year and with over 6,000 attendees, musicians, organizations, and media agencies, the San Juan Bautista Hispanic Festival has become known as a must-attend summer event for friends & family, food & drink, a positive vibe, and of course, world class Latin cuisine and Music. For thousands of people in and around Lancaster County the San Juan Bautista Hispanic Festival is the place to be. 3 PARTICIPANTS SAN JUAN BAUTISTA HISPANIC FESTIVAL San Juan Bautista Hispanic Festival located in the Southeast quadrant of Lancaster City has an annual participation of over 6,000 attendees during our four day festival. The following information is provided by the U.S. Census for Lancaster City and City-Data.com for Zip Code. Participates Demographics: As of the census [21] of 2010, in Lancaster City there were 56,348 people, 20,933 households, and 12,162 families residing in the city. The racial makeup of the city was 61.55% White, 14.09% African American, 0.44% Native American, 2.46% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 17.44% from other races, and 3.94% from two or more races % of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. In 2010, 29.2% of Lancaster residents were of Puerto Rican ancestry. The city has the second highest concentration of Puerto Ricans in Pennsylvania after Reading. For this reason, it is sometimes referred to as the "Spanish Rose."
