Mrs. Brown bought tickets for two adults and four children. She paid with a $50 bill. How much change did she receive? 2. Justin purchased a 20 pound pumpkin for $9.80. How much did he pay per pound? Kyle bought a 5 pound pumpkin for $2.60. How much did he pay per pound? Who got the better deal on their pumpkin? 3. Mr. Neal purchased apple cider for himself and three friends. He spent a total of $7. How much was each glass of cider? 4. Lucy made a pumpkin pie to sell at a bake sale. She cut it into 6 slices and sold each slice for $1.25. How much money will she make if she sells the entire pie?
3 5. Dave and his sister picked out two pumpkins at the pumpkin patch. The pumpkins cost $0.47 per pound. David s pumpkin weighed pounds and his sister s pumpkin weighed 10.6 pounds. How much did they pay for both pumpkins? 6. Monique needs 2.75 cups of sugar for a pie recipe. She wants to make 5 pies. How many cups of sugar will she need? 7. Isabella purchased yards of fabric to make her costume. She needs to cut it into three 4.2 yard pieces. How much fabric will she have leftover? 8. Gina is putting candy into bags for her students. She has 93 students throughout the day and plans to put 0.35 pounds of candy into each bag. How much candy will she need altogether? Candy is sold in 4 pound bags. How many full bags will Gina need to purchase? 9. Wanda is dressing up as a witch this year. She is making her own costume. She needs 9.8 yards of black fabric. Fabric costs $1.74 per yard. How much will she spend on fabric to make her costume?
